About our home

NOTE: for now we are interested in the following (mostly non-simultaneous) swap:
-five weeks in New York from the last week of July to (approximately) the end of August 2019
*The apartment is available ONLY in June and July.*
Points trips are always OK. If you are interested in a rental, let me know, and I will look into activating that option.

Our apartment features the original (1935) floors in patterned marble graniglia veneziana, beautiful ceiling moulding, and sliding stained glass double doors between the dining room and the living room. The kitchen is modern and quite spacious. The apartment is a 12-minute walk from the bustling center of Bologna, home to the oldest university in the world (founded in 1088). The city's picture gallery is right next door; the theater/opera house is five minutes away by foot, and several excellent restaurants are also nearby. Bologna is a beautiful city with a medieval center; it boasts many fine museums and year-round cultural activities. It's also the best place from which to set out to explore Italy, because every major rail line goes through Bologna.
(I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures; I'll upload better ones when I get a chance.)

More about us

  1. We're a couple with two young boys. David is a composer & pianist (& music professor), Gabriella translates and teaches rhetoric.

  2. In the short term we're looking for a place to stay in New York City, but in the long term we're interested in destinations around the globe.

  3. We like classical music, good food, great literature, and exploring cities.
