About our home

Our old 17th-century farmhouse is part of the Villa Torrigiani Estate, it is set in one of the most beautiful areas around the Lucchesian countryside.
It has a lovely outdoor swimming pool 6mx12m, with a stunning view towards Lucca and the Apennines. by the pool, there is a pleasant setting area where you can enjoy your meals, and a few hammocks to rest in, and 3 swings for the children
By the house, there is an old pizza oven, which is still functioning very well, with plenty of wood for you to use.
As you enter the ground floor of the house there is the entrance hall, to your right, there is the sitting room with TV and DVD player and plenty of movies for you to watch, then there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a reading room:
Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms,1 double room with ensuite bathroom, 2 double rooms, and 2 single rooms, that share the second bathroom.
It is a very characteristic house with still the old wooden beams and terracotta tiles both on the ceiling and on the floor.
We also have a pony and Horse, which normally we send on vacation to our nearby riding school, then if you feel like feeding while we are away our peacocks,chickens, and rabbits you are very welcome to do so, otherwise our next door neighbor can do it.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are located in the heart of the Luchesian hills and surrounded by vineyards, and olive groves.
In the area there are the most important Villas of the Lucca, which are open for visits, within walking distance from the house there is Villa Torrigiani, Villa Mansi, and by car 5km Villa Reale, Villa Grabau, and Villa Oliva.
The beautiful Medieval town of Lucca is 15km from us.

Buzzy restaurants
Plenty of very good restaurants in Lucca, close to the us there are plenty of Agriturismi in which you can enjoy typical tuscanian dishes.(recomended Fattoria Gambaro, Giomo, Vecchio metato) all with in 3 km from the house
Cool bars
Plenty of nice bars in the city centre of Lucca
Cozy cafés
Close by there is a very nice caffe or pasticceria called Dolce Idea where you can have very nice coffe and cakes.
Retail therapy
In Montecatini Terme ( 25km) and bagni di Lucca (20km) you find very good SPA
Bit of culture
Lucca plenty of museams, and as said above 5 Historic Villas that you can visit. Otherwise Florence is 45 min by train 60 min by car. Pisa 20 min by train by car 35 min
Walks in the park
Plenty of lovely walks in the sorrounding countryside
Spot of exercise
You have a range of sport activities such as Horse riding at the Fattoria Gambaro, or kayaking water rafting (if enough water) in Garfagnana
Day tripping
Florence, Pisa, 5 Terre all with in 1hrs train ride. Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, with in a couple of hours by car even less if no traffic
