Our home, just outside Verona on the hills, was remodelled in 2012 with the idea to host our and other friend’s families in a lovely country-side scenario. From home it takes about half-hour ride to Verona downtown, the airport, Garda lake, or the mountains. It is located in the heart of a little village's main square, besides a typical restaurant and nearby town services. It's ideal if you like, boots on, directly stepping out of the door and go walking to explore vine, olive and cherry yards or head towards the woods. We buy most of our food directly from the many local producers “next door” but can then get to the Verona Arena in half an hour.
We are both Italian: Rosario is from Sicily and Daniela from Piemonte. After university in Pisa, we moved for work in Verona. When we decided to settle down and grow up a family, we chose this place because we could live near Verona, a lovely historical city, enjoy the panorama and the weather that here is wonderful thanks to the influence of the Garda lake, living surrounded by nature.
Because Daniela has a degree in Arts and of course she loves historical heritage, we chose an ancient house and little by little we have remodelled it according to the family’s growth.
Today our house is a perfect place to stay for a family holiday. Thanks to the easily reachable Verona airport, it's an ideal start to plan a visit to World Heritage sites such as Venice, the Dolomites or have a dive into the Garda lake and taste the renown wines and olive oil to discover the beautiful landscape of the hills nearby.
We could arrange for a housemaid and for a professional English-speaking baby-sitter in case you like going to the Opera.

“We stayed at the house only for a weekend and really loved it. The house has quirky features which give it a real character. It stands on a cute little square where locals gathered in the evening and we could see the Italian way of social life on weekends. There is a restaurant right next to the house which closed before we wanted some peace and was no bother at all. Kids enjoyed playing with neighbour's dog and a local cat. All communication with Daniela was clear, friendly and precise. If we are in the region, would love to stay there again. Thank you for having us!”
