About our home

Villa surrounded by greenery and keeps the typical features of a rustic house. Patio, outdoor oven for fish and pizzas, indoor fireplace for grilling, swimming pool, terrace and independent access to each rooms from the big garden.
Our family villa is a perfect place for your stay if you are looking for a beach vacation close to nature and relax.
The house is located only a 7 mins walk from 2nd best Italian beach ('U Nastru, Legambiente 2015 Awards) and one of the best restaurants of the coast (Da Cesare).
All the rooms face a breathtaking sea view and offer air-conditioned accommodation wit spacious terraces. There is a free private parking, umbrella for the beach upon request.
Bucolic area, surrounded by greenery with a pleasant path of 7 minutes to get to the 2nd best Italian beach (2015's Legambiente Awards)... The small village of Cersuta is among the most typical of the coast of Maratea, overlooking on the sea with its incredible cliffs.
The cozy village of Maratea maintained its rustic caracteristics.
The port of Maratea where you can eat the best fish at Za'Mariuccia, one the best known restaurants in the coast looking at the boats with a romantic view.
The pool is small but clean.
Cersuta's beach is called ”ù Nastru”, elected 2nd best beach in Italy two years ago (Legambiente Awards, http://www.adnkronos.com/sostenibilita/risorse/2015/07/31/bue-marino-san-vito-capo-spiaggia-piu-amata-dagli-italiani_hk2K1pGSo9pUqlc8uJAOfN.html). The beach is 300 meters from the house but to reach it you have to make a quite difficult path (even if our doughter of 6 years old always do it without problems).
Tuscanian architect designed Villa Carmelina in late 80's, it was an old house from 1870 totally rebuilt respecting the old architechture.
Beds are big (in 3 of the 5 rooms you have a double one) and the showers arw big and hot in every room.
In Maratea you have some "tourist crowd" just in August...
As far as restaurants are concerned, here also you are quite lucky, because in Cersuta (5mins from home by feet) you have "Da Cesare", one of the best restaurants of the coast (and cheap also!).
Best beaches not in Cersuta in our very personal order of preference:
- Il Gabbiano in Aquafredda (7 mins by car)
- Santa Venere in Fiumicello (7 mins)
- Santo Janni Club in Marina (12 mins)
- Le Pergole, in Fiumicello (7 mins)
Best restaurants not in Cersuta in our very personal order of preference:
- Za’ Mariuccia (€€€€, fish)
- Cantina Ru Ranco (€, mediterranean)
- Il Giardino di Epicuro (€€, local mountain)
- Taverna Rovita (€€€, local mountain)
