About our home

My home is Etruscan style, made of stones and with a breath taking view on "Val di Chiana" (Chiana Valley). Has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen with pantry and living room. Just renovated with new furnitures. Available also for renting for 500¤ a week in summer time or 600¤ a month in winter time.

Built on a hill, it is right outside the old city walls of Cortona, an old city built by The Etruscans, the ancient civilization that built Rome. Cortona is a 30 mins drive from Perugia (in Umbria) and Arezzo, 45 mins from Siena, 1 hr from Florence and 2 hrs from Rome! Cortona is famous as the inspiration and setting for the book Under the Tuscan Sun, (that later became a movie) written by USA writer-novelist Francis Mayes. Cortona also homes a branch of the Georgia University - USA for artistic matters.
