About our home

Our bright and sunny 2 bedroom flat is amazingly located in the very heart of Florence (Santa Maria Novella District) within easy walking distance of all the local amenities (museums, trains, busses, restaurants, pubs, shops...) but surprisingly very quiet expecially in the backyard garden.
The flat has a small master bedroom with queen bed (215x160).
We have a child (may 2009-boy) so his bedroom (with a double size bed in which can sleep 2 guests) is full of Lego, toys, books, and DVDs which you are welcome to use.
The flat also has a good sized modern kitchen, a sunny and comfortable living room, and a bathroom with shower.
We also have a backyard garden with a small kitchen garden and a guest house with a sofa bed and a bathroom with shower.

More about us

  1. We are 2 adults, one 10 years old son (Gregory) and one 20 years old nephew who sometimes likes to come on holiday with us, they're both keen home exchangers.
I'm the English Department Coordinator of a florentine bilingual school, my husband is an engineer. We are experienced exchangers, we have had many successful exchanges so far an look forward to many more.
We all love learning about other cultures and have been using home exchanges to have the "non-touristy" opportunity to travel. We are passionate about art, reading and good food.

Where is it?

Our house is in a very central area in town called San Lorenzo, close to the "Duomo", the Santa Maria Novella railway station and the "Accademia".
Our neighborhood is full with shops, restaurants and fancy activities. We haven't a car because we can reach every district of the city by bike thanks to the very wide bike lanes net. By the way the area. Is very accessible by public transport.
