A 100 m2 lovely Rooftop Apartment in Historic Center of Florence The top-floor apartment, recently renovated, in a beautiful small sixteenth-century palazzo in the heart of historic Florence, minutes by foot to all of the city's monuments and attractions. One bedroom and one bathroom, and a sofa-bed in the sitting room can host two more people. Light-filled, light-gray floors, high ceilings; outside, a large terrace with spectacular views of the Duomo, the Synagogue (the most beautiful post-Renaissance building in Florence), and further the Palazzo Vecchio, rooftops, and the surrounding hills. Fully equipped cooks' kitchen (with dishwasher). Comfortably furnished.
Just off of Piazza Sant'Ambrogio, in the lively neighborhood of the Synagogue, the Sant'Ambrogio Market, and the Church of Santa Croce. Five minutes by foot takes you to the Uffizi Galleries (painting) and Piazza della Signoria, the Bargello Museum (sculpture), and The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore topped with Brunelleschi's iconic dome; almost everything else of interest in Florence is no farther than a fifteen-minute walk. Within steps of the apartment are a wide range of shops - including Vestri, one of the greatest chocolate confectioners - and restaurants.
It is a very Florentine part of the town that is to say where "real Florentines" (a rarity in fact! ) still live. The day market of Sant'Ambrogio where you can find any sort of delicious food is a few hundred metres away. It you do not fell like cooking it is an area with plenty of little restaurants of all sorts. the world-renown Gelateria Vivoli (ice cream shop) is only e few block away - that in Florence means 2 minute walking! Shops of all sorts are only a minute away - litterally, the grocery store is 10 metres away and - rarity for Italy - it is open 7/7!!! Also, on the last week-end of each month the famous Flea Market is downstairs, at the door. Yet, the area is very quite, the flat is facing on some private gardens and if you want to climb on the hill of Piazzale Michelangelo is a 20 minutes walk to get on the top.
