About our home

The apartment ,on the first floor of a 3 stores 1930 house, with a quiet driveway with trees and flowers, has been completely renewed in 2012.
Kitchen, dining room and living room are combined in a unique environment, facing on the quiet courtyard. The only bedroom is quite small with a double bed and a wardrobe. The high ceiling gives a sense of spaciousness and light.
The quarter is full of small restaurants and shops, and it's nearby the Lungarno with his gardens. The centre is at 20 minutes walking, or you can use the bus that stops just round the corner.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
The area is perfect for shopping, many restaurants and bars not too turistic.
Cozy cafés
Caffè del Bigallo, at the end of the street.
Bit of culture
Firenze does not need listing of it monuments and museums...
Walks in the park
Walk along the river to reach Pontevecchio and most of the monuments in less than 20 minutes
Spot of exercise
Jogging, biking ( and canoeing) in the Park along the river Arno. Run all the way to Piazzale Michelangelo and enjoy the amazing view. On your way back take the path through the Giardino delle Rose ( Garden of Roses) and admire the sculptures of Folon.
Day tripping
Without a car... take a bus to Fiesole or Settignano. With a car, take a trip to the Chianti region, only 20-30 km to reach it's heart.
