The landscapes are not just places, they have stories to tell and a spirit that is preserved and communicated in time. For this reason, we have titled this page with the more usual name “rooms”. Firstly, the wonderful vaulted ceilings under which we live, are elegant, original and typical, set in amazing courts within the walls of the old town of Gallipoli.
Your can explore the old town of Gallipoli and experience it’s art and history of skilled and experienced fishermen, farmers and artists.
We chose this name because (Corte Leccesi) because our house is located in the typical Court Leccesi a few hundred meters from the walls that protect the city from the beautiful Ionian Sea, within easy walking distance.
When you enter into Gallipoli Luxury Rooms, on the first floor of a small typical building family, you get to the elegant dining room with adjoining sitting room where reigns the fireplace, a fundamental and important symbolic value in the court houses of Salento. The fireplace was a hub of the homes in Salento, a social unit where family were taught arts and crafts such as embroidery, weaving and spinning. The vaulted ceilings partly painted, paintings, furnishings and classic furnishings, make you feel at home.
Our guest rooms in Gallipoli, each with their own private bathroom, are all dedicated to the winds that constantly blow impetuous on our faces and on the clothes hanging in the sun typically on our terraces and balconies. The dining room, also with vaulted ceilings, is accessed independently and it is private to our rooms which are named after the winds that characterize our territory.
