About our home

Beautiful renovated 16th century house on the biggest lake of north Italy, Lago Maggiore. Easy to get to from Milano's 3 airports.

This house (approx. 90 sqm, with another 90 sqm of private garden and 2 balconies) is situated in the hystorical town of Maccagno. The house is a renovated beauty, obtained from the dependance of a 16th century nearby church. In the house there are 2 apartments (one each floor). One, on top, is ours.

This house have all that you need: Two bedrooms , One large living room with fire place, One bathroom, Kitchen with all the comforts (dish washer, laundry..) and a garden annex to the house that overview the lake (amazing to relax on an Hammock or have Barbecues). Independent heating system available, and air-conditioning for the summer. Parking is available on spot.

All the rooms have balcony and lake view: The house is located a very quiet place that overlook the lake.

The lake Maggiore is easily reachable by 10 min walking. The area is the best both to relax and explore the north of Italy and Switzerland.

You can enjoy the myriad of restaurants and good Italian cuisine within walking and driving distance

Bit of culture
Go to Milano for a day of culture and shopping in the city, or spend a day in the myriad of small historical cities on the lake, all reachable by boat. Have a great meal on the lake, or just stay at at home reading a book with the fireplace on and admiring the view. Go to swim in the lake in summer of go to ski in the nearby italian & swiss alps nearby (Switzerland is just 10 minutes driving as well). Take one of the gorgeous walks on the lake or in the forrest.
Walks in the park
Starting from the door of the house you can have very nice walks in the nearby forrest (going up) or down to the lake!
Day tripping
Amazing centre if you want to explore the north of Italy, close to many important cities (Milano 1h, Varese 30 min, Switzerland 10 min). From the city it is possible to take boats that brings you to all the most important cities on the lake, such as Cannobbio, Isola Bella, Stresa...etc //// Maccagno is very close to Malpensa airport, and is reachable with a direct train. Other airports Milano Linate (1.45 h) and Milano Bergamo (2.30 h, low cost)
