About our home

Our attic has been completely rebuilt in 2015, designed by eco architect. Very quiet street between top Milan shopping street (Corso Buenos Aires) and the University District (CIttà Studi). Safe area, green neighborhood. Close to city center, shops and restaurants, wide choice of public transport. Two friendly, clean and quiet cats live in the house with us.

Wery good public transport network one minute walk from our door, to hop on the unique Milan tramways, buses, to reach city the center, the Central Train Station, or the Linate Airport, and two main subway - Red and Green - lines (metropolitana) within a short distance.

Buzzy restaurants
Buzzy restaurants - Right in the same building we have one of the best sushi restaurants, and just round the corner the two oldest pubs in town. Several other gourmet restaurants within walking distance.
Cool bars
Cool bars - the iconic bar where the 'negroni sbagliato' cocktail was invented is just a 5 minutes walk from here. Other fish, ethnic restaurant, or also the best pizza places in town, all within walking distance (max 10 minutes).
Bit of culture
Milan offers pretty much everything you can imagine, year round. Shows, Concerts, Exhibitions, Museums…Milan has a very dense schedule of ‘weeks’ dedicated to specific topics: Design, Food, Fashion, Architecture, Technology, Arts, Piano Music, Green and Sustainability, Sports…Of course for soccer, we have two world class teams. This is also part of the culture. https://www.yesmilano.it/en

Day tripping
OMG, here it gets challenging. Italy is incredibly dense of unique and totally diverse places and experiences, there is so much choice its’ hard to prioritize. And Milano means Medio-Lanum, meaning ‘in the middle ot the Land’, it is barycentric with respect to countless opportunities. Apart from food, arts, design and so on, Italy is the country on the planet with the highest number of UNESCO World Heritage places, and a good half of them are at reach during a one-day trip. Just choose amongst iconic places and amazing experiences, all accessible by train or public transport, like: - Lake Como, Bellagio - Le Cinque Terre National Park in Liguria, or Portofino, or Genova, with the largest historical center in the world, UNESCO Heritage. - Ski Resorts like Madesimo - Ski and SPA village Bormio discovered by the Romans and experienced by Leonardo Da Vinci - The DOLOMITES - Other hills and mountains - Several cities and villages like the Bergamo Fortress, Pavia, Parma, Verona, Modena, Bologna, Turin, Piacenza, Vicenza, BRA – the headquarter of the global Slow Food movement…each of them is a jewel, easy to reach and absolutely worth the trip. - Villas, Villas Everywhere…lake como, riviera Berica and the Palladio villas, - Lugano or Skt. Moritz in Engadin (both in Switzerland, passport needed), with the UNESCO Red Train - Pick your favorite UNESCO Heritage place http://whc.unesco.org/en/statesparties/IT- Venice - Florence - Rome
