In the heart of Orvieto, stone's throw from Duomo

We are experienced home exchangers as well as owners of a small hotel/hostel so we will treat your home with care and expect the same in return.

Orvieto is a gorgeous medieval hill town in the region of Umbria known as the green heart of Italy. It's about an hour north of Rome by train. It's famous for its cathedral - the Duomo, its white wine the Orvieto Classico, truffles, ceramics and its wintertime Umbria Jazz festival. Orvieto is convenient to Rome, southern Tuscany and many other lovely Umbrian towns such as Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Spello & many more.

Our apartment is in a 17th century building located in the heart of Orvieto on one of the main pedestrian streets - Via del Duomo between the clock tower Torre del Moro and the famous Duomo. It is located one floor up with no elevator.

Our home has 4 bedrooms: 3 single rooms (which are our children's rooms) and 1 double room.

There are 2.5 bathrooms - one full bathroom with bathtub, another full bathroom with shower stall (that is the ensuite bathroom for one of the double rooms) and one that is just a wash basin and toilet & bidet.

There is a nice sized, fully stocked kitchen and a small laundry area with washing machine and dryer - we do not have a microwave or dishwasher.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a television room with an additional day bed. We do not have television reception (nor cable or satellite), but do have a Netflix Italy (which you can select English as the language of choice for English language films) and a DVD player.

There is a very large and spacious dining room and sitting room area. This is where the Wi-Fi network works as it doesn't work in the rest of the house. Our dining room table seats 10-12 people and there are 2 Stokke chairs for small children. In the sitting area is a desk with Mac desktop computer which you are welcome to use. We also have an upright piano if anyone in your family/group can play!

We have standing fans, but NO AIR-CONDITIONING and we do not have screens on the windows. Our home is not luxurious, but it's a large, clean, simple, comfortable home in a gorgeous town and region of Italy.
