About our home
This house is a part of our small, peaceful, artistic agriturismo nestled in the unspoiled nature of the Garfagnana in the North of Tuscany. It is isolated but not remote ( just one km. from the main road SR 445 and 1.5 km. from train station).. You can stay here and enjoy the countless possibilities that nature offers ( lovely hikes in the forest full of chestnuts, mushrooms and wildlife, mountain trails, beautiful rivers and lakes, skiing just 30 minutes up the road, horseback riding 10 minutes down the road, bike riding and much more. The house is spacious surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The ground floor has a large bedroom with a queen size bed and a single bed (both with orthopedic mattresses) and a small bathroom with shower. A large fully equipped kitchen, sitting/dining room with open fireplace and a pullout couch. There is a lovely portico with a large wooden table for eating or relaxing outside.
First Floor has one large king-size bedroom and a lovely double bedroom with two twin beds. There is large bathroom with shower & bidet. There is a sizable anteroom with a pullout couch, wardrobe and a big refrigerator. You can enter or exit the house from this room as well.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
We are nestled in the forest hills of the Parco Alpi Apuane in the Garfagnana. Here nature is still unspoiled with calls of the deer at night and unwanted wanted visits from the wild boar if the garden gate is left open. Here many beautiful nature walks can start right from your doorstep. There are many lovely authentic hill-top villages in the area and the closest is 3 km. away with bank, three food shops as well as a bar and three restaurants. Castelnuovo (10 km south) is a larger town and the center of Garfagnana. Here you can find most things that could be needed. We are also not far from the Medieval city of Lucca (about one hour by car or train). Florence is two hours, Pisa one and a half. The famous fishing towns of Cinque Terre is a very do-able day trip by car or train.
