About our home

We offer a lovely apartment in a historical quarter in the center of Pisa. We have two bedrooms, one with double bed, one with queen bed. There is one living room and a confortable kitchen. It's a typical tuscany apartment, so not very big but very sunny and comfortable. It is also ideally located as a touring base for visiting the Tuscany area and the rest of Italy.
We have a part time maid.

More about us

  1. We are Linda and Riccardo. We are both professionals (PHD in philosophy and web designer) and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see yours.
This summer we would share this new experience with Lorenzo e Veronica -Linda's brother and his girlfriend-.
We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Italy.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Pisa is situated in North-West Tuscany between the mountains and the sea, on the banks of the river Arno, a great place for jogging, biking or just walking with the dog.
The city is not big, so you can visit all the most interesting places by walk or with a bike, not except for San Rossore Park, where is possible to practice horse riding, have a pic-nic and take a walk until the sea, which is exactly at the end of the park.
Pisa has a primary place in national and international tourism: preserves, with the complex of Piazza dei Miracoli – cultural patrimony of all humanity – numerous masterpieces of civil and military architecture and of medieval history. Everyone knows the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Piazza dei Miracoli where it stands, with its Cathedral, Baptistery and Monumental Cemetery.
Pisa is also a great touring base because it takes only 15 minutes to Lucca or Livorno, from where departs the ferry to Elba Island, a rinomated touristic place. In 30 minutes it is possible to reach the Versilia area, where are Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, with their famous nightlife, fish cuisine and their long beaches. Here in summer it is carried out the notorious Puccini Opera Festival.
I can't miss to say that it takes only 1 hour by train to the beautiful Florence, and 2 hours to Siena, the Chianti Wine Valley and San Gimignano. 3 hours to Milan. 3 hours and a half to Rome.
