About our home

Enjoy a beautiful vacation in our villa, in a wonderful residence in Ranco - Lake Maggiore - Lombardy, with a park, a swimming pool and a direct access to Lake Maggiore by boat. If you like nature & relax, you will love this paradise corner, 1st floor, 3 terraces with flowers, one hour from EXPO 2015 in Milan

We are in one of the most beautiful corner of the Lago Maggiore, with a breathtaking view and an incredible peace.
The interiors of the cottage are modern, with pieces of forniture from the italian design, with a functional approach. The residence is full of green, and the swimming pool, close to the lake, is a beautiful place where you can meet the other guests of the residence and take fresh baths in the hot days.

You will have at your disposal our cottage, a private parking, the access to the lake by boat, the residence swimming pool, all the equipment of the house, including hair dryer, toaster, air conditioning, washing machine, dish cleaner, fire place, flat screen TV, wifi, nespresso coffee machine, boiler, i-robot for cleaning the house.

The house is composed by 2 nice bedrooms, ideal for families of 4 or 5 person, one large living room, one kitchen where you cook and eat, a bathroom with shower and bathtub.

Three terraces are available too, where you can stay, rest, eat, read and relax, looking st a wonderful view of the lake.

I will be available by phone for any kind of support, while a trusted person will be available for check in and check out.

We are located in Ranco, an ancient small village, where you can find a small shop, a church and a pharmacy. In 3 km you will find a supermarket, while at 4 km, at Angera, you will find a lot of stores, restourants, pizzarias. An hospital is located in Angera too.

Ranco at Lago Maggiore is wonderfully positioned to make tours of the lake by car or by boat or ferry, to visit Milan and the Expo, to spend a day at the mountains.

DAY BY DAY SHOPS • Large Supermarket – there is a CONAD supermarket in the internal road between Ranco and Angera (via Varesina 64, Angera – 0331 930204) – they are open every day, including Sunday, excluding some holy day, call for the timetable). It’s a large one, few km from Ranco, you can buy there everything • Small Market – there is a small market in Ranco in the road that goes from the church to the lake, 50 metres after the church on the right coming from our residence • More shops can be found in Angera and Ispra (that are in the range of 5 km), much more in Arona, on the other side of the lake but not so far away by car 3. SHOPPING • At Castelletto Ticino, on the SS Sempione, there are many shops, malls, outlet, where you can have a shopping experience • If you need sport equipment there is a well furnished shop – Sport and Sport, Via Sempione, 36, Castelletto sopra Ticino, +39 0331 914025 • A couple of interesting places for high level shopping at good prices o Herno Outlet – It has a peculiarity irresistible retro flavor produces garments, quilts, jackets and knitwear, but embellished with contemporary details - Via Sempione , 87 Lesa, tel. 0322 7674 o Bellora - The store is characterized by an area of 500 square meters divided into two large areas : as soon as you walk through the entrance of the store you can admire old wooden shelving and furniture of great charm , with their timeless appeal , they are able to tell the historicity of the company. • Ranco Museum of Transportations o You can reach it at walking distance from the residence, turning left when you exit the residence and walking for round 400 metres o It allows you to revisit two hundred years of history of transport , making the visitor relive the emotions that seem lost o It is no coincidence that the place where it rises is called " Villa Fantasia " , ideal world where the imagination can have fun . o • Rocca di Angera o Its defensive structure dates back to Roman and Lombard, does not retain signs true of that time , its walls date back to the XII and XIII century o During the disputes between the Torriani and Visconti , it underwent several operations and changes . In 1277 , after the victory of Desio , he returned to the archbishop of Milan , then to the Visconti , then passed in 1449 to the Borromeo family who still remain . o From the top of the tower offers a panorama of rare beauty . FERRIES ON THE LAKE • You can reach the other side of the lake and the other destinations around the lake thanks to a system of ferries • They are managed by the Navigazione Laghi company and you can find all the info on internet • In Ranco there is a port at walkable distance from the residence, close to the Il Sole di Ranco restaurant; some of the ferries stop there, and in one hour you are at Stresa; but consider to use the Angera port too, there are more ferries passing from Angera. 12. EXPO MILAN 2015 • Expo Milano 2015 is the Universal Exhibition that Milan, Italy, will host from May 1 to October 31, 2015.
