First of all: I share the flat with two cats. They are young, very cute, vivacious and in good health but they have to be fed and looked after, so any exchange is ok only for cat-lovers...
My flat has been entirely renovated a few years ago and is beautifully finished and furnished. It has a large terraced garden, a large entartaining area including the open kitchen, my studio, and one bedroom with a private bathroom and a walk-in closet. Although a ground floor, it is full of light. There are also two sofa beds (a double one in my studio, a double one in the drawing room area) and a second fully equipped bathroom. Theoretically the flat can house up to six people, but it is most comfortable for two, and comfortable for four (the studio doubles easily as a second bedroom). There are no steps and the flat is accessible; the bathrooms are not equipped for disabled people but they both have large showers.
I'm right along the river Tiber in the elegant quartiere Prati, very close to the Olimpico stadium. It is a quiet neighbourhood, and in 15 minutes you can be right in the heart of historical Rome. Public trasportation is not very good in Rome but there are three busses right round the corner bringing you to the center (Piazza Venezia, Fontana di Trevi, Trastevere) in 15 minutes. There are also two metro stations a 15 minute walk away. Also, the bike path along the river is a sure and practical way to get to the center and beyond. I do have a car, although old and in bad shape; it comes in useful for shopping, but driving and most of all parking in the center is so complicated that public transports are a better solution. You could, of course, also walk along the river. I am a passionate reader and an expert in English and American literature, almost all of my (many) books are in English. I have a TV set but no cable channels; there is however free wifi.
I can offer cleaning at the end of your exchange, for as many hours as needed; my cleaning lady will have to be paid separately.
