“This stay was the first stage of a rent plus points arrangement we had made with Sofia. We were met by a young American man, an employee of the agency Sofia uses for her rental properties. That saved us the language issue - we don't speak Italian - and he told us all we needed to know to get around and self cater. The apartment was plenty big enough for the 2 of us and the kitchen well set up. There are plenty of restaurants in the street and small food shops nearby. We were concerned about the fact that the natural light comes from a courtyard which has another apartment's windows on the other side of it. There are no curtains or blinds in the kitchen and doorway so we felt that it lacked privacy. In reality we only saw anyone twice in two weeks. There are no windows in the sitting room so the light needed to be on all the time to read etc. I put it down to being part of the experience of living at much closer quarters that we are used to. ”
