About our home

Our 15th century townhouse in the historic center of Sansepolcro, birthplace of Piero della Francesca, was completely refurbished 7 years ago. It consists of a studio apartment with queen-sized bed and full bathroom with shower on the ground floor, as well as a two story, two bedroom (two more queen-size beds) house above. It is fully equipped and has a designer kitchen. Furthermore, there are chair lifts to both stories, as I have a disability.

We are within walking distance of parking lots, a supermarket and shopping center, and everything in the old town. Considered one of many mountain towns in the Valtiberino (Tiber River Valley), beautiful and atmospheric Sansepolcro is surrounded by mountains and is in close proximity to other lovely villages and a reservoir where boating is available. Wifi is available.

Neighbourhood

Piero della Francesco's birthplace, Sansepolcro boasts his house, a seat of research, as well as a lovely small museum with his and other work. My townhouse is located right in the historical center, in a row of houses that date from the 14th century. Cafes, restaurants, shops, as well as a shopping center and parking are all within easy walking distance. The beautiful town of Anghiari, home of da Vinci's lost painting of the battle of Anghiari, is 6 km away. Michelangelo's birthplace is just up the road at Caprese Michelangelo. Our town is situated in a valley surrounded my mountains and farmland with all of the hayrolls, poppies, and sunflowers you could wish.
