live by the sea, white apartment

We are only 50 mt. away from the beach and strategically located for sight seeing specially in the Ragusa area but also for all the south East of Sicily. The apartment is 60 sq. meter; small but cozy, it has one bedroom and 2 comfortable sofa bed in the living area. It is equipped with air conditioning and heating. There is wi fi internet. In the small living area with sea view, there is a wood stove that helps create a cozy atmosphere for winter retreats. The kitchen is very simple but equipped for daily cooking. The bathroom has a walk in shower and plenty of hot water. You will wake up and go to sleep with the sound of the sea
The apartment is located in Scoglitti, a sandy fishing village with a timeless feeling.
A part from July and August, this village is almost empty, however, there are plenty of shops open daily at all seasons. Supermarkets, bakeries, bars, restaurants and few other shops are roughly 10 minutes away by foot along the seafront.
Scoglitti is a perfect base for sight seeing as most of the province's attractions are only a car's drive away: Comiso airport 20 minutes. Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Donna Lucata, Marina di Ragusa, Caltagirone: 45 to 55 minutes Scicli and Noto, are less than one hour away. Catania:1 hour and 30 minutes and so Syracuse, Agrigento, the golden village of Marzamemi and the Vendicari national park at the south east corner of the Island. For those of you who appreciate Camilleri's novels and specially the tv series Montalbano, you will feel that you are walking in a living set, but no worries, they won't be any killing.
From Mid September to Mid November, you will experience blissful isolation, There is good internet, if you are a free lancer, a writer, a Phd student. you work from home or simply on your computer, this flat will make the perfect office.
If you are a fine artist we can also offer a gallery space in a town 10 KM away, so we can combine a sort of residency scheme.
