About our home
Set in peaceful seclusion amongst the organic, hand-farmed olive, almond and fruit trees in my lovingly and ecologically restored 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom stone farmhouse. Recently restored honouring original materials and features to create a balance of modern comfort, charm and rustic elegance. The living room is a traditional barrel-ceilinged 'lamia' room with two alcoves and one bedroom is an ancient double-coned trullo, the conical roofed stone building typical of the Valle D'Itria in Puglia and protected by UNESCO world heritage law.
The house sleeps 6, offering a tranquil retreat perfect for families or friends, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a 10x4 metre saltwater pool set 50 metres away from the house in the heart of the almond and olive grove. The pool is 1.8 metres deep with a 1x2 metre paddling platform, perfect for sitting or lounging on, with or without children. Please note that it is not fenced and therefore not suitable for young children to play in unattended.
The house is a 7 minute drive from the beautiful historic centre of Ceglie Messapica, famous for its restaurants, teeming with bars and caffes with a vibrant and Saturday farmers market.
