“Cristina is a perfect host: accurate and very attentive. She helped us in preparing the weekend in town with helpful information. Her penthouse is wonderful! Our family loved to live in a flat full of books and pictures, really cozy and comfortable, with big rooms and big windows. Moreover Cristina's house is in a perfect position to explore the city. Highly recommended!!! Thanks Cristina!”

Cristina's reviews
As a host (41)“My family and I have just completed a stay at Cristina’s home and loved it! A very large apartment in the centre of town. Perfectly located and with everything available for a great holiday. Cristina provided lots of information before and during the stay. Highly recommend. Cristina has a visitors book with comments from previous home swappers - so lovely to see the breadth of the home swap community and everyone in agreement- a fantastic swap!”
“This is an amazing swap! The apartment is BIG and modern and very comfortable (and clean!!) - even prettier than the pics here! Christina was SO easy to communicate with and beyond helpful - she left us wine, plenty of coffee, cookies and TONS of information on Italy and Turino! The location is fabulous - we walked EVERYWHERE and loved this city! Friendly people, great food, and lots to do! Highly recommended! Thank you so much - an awesome swap!”
“I stayed in Cristina's place for 3 nights in october/november and from the very first contact on the website Cristina was very friendly and available. The location of her flat is perfect , right in the center of the city, 10 minutes walking from the train station Porta Susa and around the corner from via garibaldi with plenty of shops and restaurants. The house was exactly how described and perfectly clean. Cristina perfectly organized our check in with the doorman since she was busy when we arrived. Me and my friend found all the necessary for breakfast and even more welcoming us! The apartment is amazingly beautiful, very spacious and we loved so much being embraced from Cristina's books world all around us!!! thank you so much Cristina!! for sure we will come again and send our friends to your place!! :-)”
“Cristina is a truly wonderful host (along with her delightful kids), and she has a fabulous apartment right in the center of town. And what a charming town Turin is - I had no idea how beautiful the architecture, how good the food, how interesting the culture and history, how cool the shops, how easy to get around (walking and/or cycling) etc etc etc. This ranks among my best ever swaps. Thank you so much, Cristina, it was a total pleasure to get to know you and your family, as well as your top town!!!!”
“We had a fabulous time visiting Torino and staying in Cristina's light-filled, comfortable home. Like it has been said many times over from the other reviews, Cristina is a delight to communicate with and is helpful with any request. She even contacted her garage to ensure we had a reservation to park our car. And her son gave us a wonderful recommendation on where to watch the World Cup. This is in addition to all the helpful suggestions that she leaves in a welcome packet. It's clear Cristina is a seasoned home swapper and she knows how to welcome you. The location of the home is wonderful - easy for walking and exploring everything. There is also a bust stop right outside the building. We found ourselves walking quite a bit and enjoying it all. I would like to recommend a few highlights of our trip: La Taverna Dei Mercanti - cucina tipica for Piedmontese. An absolute delight and mere steps from the front door. Floris House - a beautiful parfumerie that happens to have amazing cocktails. A lovely experience with an absolutely perfect Negroni. Cinema Museum - comprehensive and well displayed Automobile Museum - also comprehensive and wonderfully displayed Book a trip to Torino and Cristina's lovely home - you'll be glad you did!”
“This was our first trip to Turin and we loved it. It is a exquisite place to shop, eat or just walk around. Trying a delicious Cappuccino in a difference Coffee Shop every day was what Fernando loved the most. Lili and the kiddos had a blast with the “Bicerin”. Cristina's place is located in the center of the city next to everything. The house is big and comfortable and Cristina was so nice to send her cleaning lady every 2 days, lent her car and gave us lots of recommendations. We fall in love with Piedmont region. Grazie mille Cristina for sharing your cozy place with us.”
“Cristina's property is absolutely amazing in location, style, and convenience! This was our first trip to Turin (but will not be our last) and it could not have been better. Cristin's flat is located in such a manner that public transportation is truly not necessary as she is centrally located to everything. We simply walked to all the major attractions we wanted to see. Turin is still the "secret" city in Italy and thus not everyone knows that it is "THE" place to go for holiday. Unfortunately, the word is getting out. Get there now while it is still somewhat of a paradise, and Cristina's flat is the perfect place to see the city from. In case of an issue, I sent either an email or a text and had a response within 24 hours, if not sooner. There have not been many homes that my husband and I have felt as comfortable in as Cristina's.....many times we would curl up on the couch to read a book, only to find ourselves falling asleep minutes later. We would love to visit Turin again, and if we do, we will be staying at Cristina's. We have not only found a beautiful home to stay in, but we have also found a wonderful friend in her and her children as well. Love Home Swap has opened our eyes that not only are we getting to see the world by staying in other people's homes, but we are making friendships that will last a lifetime. This is another we are happy to say is from LHS. One of our most enjoyable stays to date!!!! Grazie Cristina, Nora and Alessandro for everything! We will see you soon! With much aloha! Ken and Teri Kailua Kona, HI”
“We loved everything about this huge, full of light apartment. It has all amenities for a comfortable stay, including AC units in each room (real rarity in Italy). The size of the library is mind boggling, we were ready to stay all the time inside, reading. It's good we don't know Italian. The bus stop is just outside the entrance to the building, and a Metro station is 12 mins away. However the very city center is in a comfortable walking distance and you don't need public transportation at all. Oh, yes, a farmer market with all Italian delights is 5 mins away. You cannot find a better location or a place to stay.”
“Thank you so much Cristina, We loved our time in your comfortable, safe, bright home. We felt like real locals in Turin. I so appreciated your support in organising this trip, which for us was an unknown location, very far from home. You made our amazing experience possible and we will forever have great memories of our time there. ”
“We (a friend and I) stayed at Cristina's beautiful loft in the center of Torino. Communication with Cristina was impeccably smooth and she was an amazing hostess. The space is huge and had everything one could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We loved coming 'home' and spending time at the loft after enjoying the beautiful city of Torino. The loft is centrally located in a cute area with many nice bars and restaurants right around the corner. I highly recommend visiting Torino while staying in Cristina's loft!”
“Cristina is a great host, friendly and helpful. The apartment is artistic, lovely, and comfortable. Turin isn't a top Italian destination for American visitors, but it's quite grand, offers plenty to see, is very authentically Italian, and is near things: Over a two-week stay in Turin we took day trips to the Alps, the Val d'Aosta for hiking, and the Mediterranean, and made an overnight trip to the Lakes District and Verona, where we saw a once-in-a-lifetime opera at the outdoor Arena. I think I'd rather *live* in Turin than in Rome or Florence -- but first we'd have to find another super apartment like Cristina's!”
“Not only is Cristina's place a comfortable, well-equipped home, it is also well-situated for touring the lovely city of Turin. Cristina is a responsive and helpful communicator which is always helpful in learning about a new city. I truly enjoyed staying at Cristina's home and visiting Turin and the Piedmont region of Italia. I hope to return very soon! Thank you, Cristina!”
“We have spent a lovely weekend at Cristina’s home! Bright spacious charming attic flat, the apartment is very nice and comfortable: decorated with lovely personality. Cristina is very communicative and generous and went out of their way to help us with our personal requests. All the thoughtful touches, such as a red wine bottle or biscuits ,were very appreciate! Superb insider information with Cristina’s Torino maps and books, home’s instructions and lots of tips about where to visit and eat. The flat is just a few steps from all the great monuments of the city and all the area around is very nice and friendly, with great restaurants with open terraces. Once again, we are more convinced that home swapping is the only way to travel! Thanks Cristina for making our holiday a memorable one.”
“This was a wonderful apartment to live in. Warm and inviting and perfect to come 'home' to. Cristina is gracious and helpful. Plus, all the reading material one could need! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The city has some very interesting attractions and it's fun to just walk down Via Garibaldi and people watch. Be aware that all major places of interest are closed on Mondays.”
“We spent 6 very comfortable and enjoyable nights in Christina's spacious and well equipped apartment. Christina was a friendly and informative host - her notes on what to do in Turin were very helpful and she even went to the trouble of ordering ducks for our Christmas lunch for us to collect from her butcher! I can wholeheartedly recommend Turin for an interesting city break. There are lots of museums, markets, exhibitions, parks, churches, plus the river. Wide streets under arcades open onto vast piazzas where you'll be tempted to pause for a coffee or glass of wine. Shopping is great, the food is good, the Italians are friendly. The apartment is centrally situated but on a quiet street with no traffic noise. ”
“Our visit to Cristina's place couldn't have been better. She embodies everything that is great about love home swap. She is a marvelous host and her apartment and city are stunning. Turin is a very authentic Italian city (fewer tourists ) with all the wonderful things that Italy offers. Everything was superbly organized for guests visiting her home. Her place is situated right in the middle of the historic center and one can walk everywhere. Don't miss the Saturday market! .There are also many places to visit nearby for day/overnight trips. We will definitely be back .I would highly recommend this exchange to anyone. Thanks Cristina! Dawn”
“Perfect! Amazing location, excellent apartment and lovely host. ”
“Cristina's home is a awesome penthouse situated at the historic part of Torino, at walking distance of most of best turistic views of the city (as example, in the same block that Museo della Sindone). Torino is a beautiful city, and the historic part, most of it pedestrian, perfect for walking... we loved shopping at Via Roma and Via Garibaldi and eating gelatos at Piazza Venetto. Cristina also is a perfect host, communication with fer was fluid and we found everything ready for us and made us felt like in home.”
“Cristina's apartment was like a book heaven to us, and as it was the coldest week in Turin in ages it was warm and homely. Cristina didn't move all her stuff out and and trusted us with her home which made the whole experience wonderful, and as we had been moving around it was great to have a feeling of a lived and loved in home. Warm, clean, a bottle of wine and cornflakes awaiting us! and we got to meet Cristina which was an added bonus!”
“A marvellous couple of days, a warm welcome and we recommend both Cristina's great flat and Turin!! Rachel and family ”
“We so enjoyed our stay in Torino! Cristina is a great host and her house is very nice and very comfy. It's situated in a nice neighborhood, at a very central location. We loved the space and the way the house is decorated. Everything is there and Cristina is a very hospitable person. She left us a nice bottle of local wine and cookies, yummie! Also she has a great list of all the things to do in Torino, and with her favorite shops etc. We definitely recommend a homeswap with Cristina! ”
“Great location, and very comfortable residence. Regards, Laurie and diane”
“We absolutely love this house, the city and the owner! Thanks again for the time we have had, and for all wanting to have look: do not hesitate! ”
“We stayed in Turin for a month and ex post I can't imagine a more hospitable place than Cristina's. Our host, as very experienced swapper, was very helpful and "professionally" set up with a manual that explains everything in the house meticulously. The apartment is gorgeously renovated, spacious and sun drenched, which was great. Obviously it can get hot in the summer as it is on the top floor, but there is AC in every room which helped us over a stretch of 35 Celsius days. Being used to a wide open view and exposure at home in NYC, we missed a little bit this part b/c most of the windows are in the ceiling, but there is actually a very pretty smallish terrace with plants from which you can see as far as to the snow-covered Alps. There is another terrace/balcony with doors going to the kitchen and to the study area, so it's not that there is no window at human height. And quite frankly, I ended up preferring the view of the sky to a view onto some building that another apartment might have had (and so many NY apt have). A great thing about the windows is that they black out completely which makes for a deliciously undisturbed sleep (on a tempurpedic mattress) as the apt is also incredibly quiet. The best thing of all was that Cristina has kept many of her kids' toys from when they were younger and our son, who just turned 2, had the best time. This really saved our time in Turin, b/c the closely playgrounds (and playgrounds in general in Italian cities) are not really at the level/quality of American or German playgrounds and he simply didn't like them... Cristina's housekeeper come nanny who was taking care of the apt and our son for 3 hrs/day was so sweet that our son is still talking about her. We sincerely hope that Cristina will have a good time at our place and agree to swap with us again in the future! ”
“We totally enjoyed our stay at Cristina's apartment. It was close to the center of the city and she left us with all the instructions of what to see and do in Turin. We will try and come again in the future. Turin is a beautiful city with lot of museums on world class level, it is also close to the Alps and the wine area that is no less beautiful than Tuscany. Dany and Tamar”
“My home swap with Cristina was easy . The apartment is situated very close to the delights of the beautiful old city centre. Cristina provided all the information that I needed to make the sure that we understood the practical arrangements for the swap. The apartment is spacious, quiet and architecturally interesting. Cristina stayed in my home whilst I stayed in hers and I can recommend her as an ideal home swap guest.”
“Lovely apartment in a perfect location for exploring Turin. Cristina very generously left us coffee capsules, wine and other goodies plus loads of useful information. Very good experience all in all. Debbie & Colin”
