Trullo in Southern Italy

“My stay at Jane’s property has been wonderful. I was there with my old parents to enjoy the beauty, cool and calmness of Valle d’Itria. Communication with Jane was excellent and all the information on the house very accurate and useful to us. Jane is a great host and we felt privileged to stay at her house. The trullo is beautiful and comfortable. Flavia welcomed us and was so nice, informative and helpful! The last day we were there was my father’s birthday and she gave him a bottle of wine as a present. We took the chance of enjoying the peaceful garden and, at the same time, we went around visiting Alberobello, Locotorondo, Cisternino ad, of course, Martina Franca. We joined an event organized within the ‘Festival of Valle d’Itria’ at Palazzo Ducale of Martina with the soprano Anna Pirozzi as a singer. We ate panzerotti at Bar Carriero in Martina, bombette in a ‘braceria’ in Locorotondo, tasted an excellent lunch at ‘Dal Brigante’ and an excellent dinner at ‘Dal Contadino’ in Martina. We also went to Grottaglie to buy ceramics and spent a lovely night with dinner in the ‘aranceto’ of ‘Il Cortiletto’ at Speziale (close to Ostuni). My father was used to bike early morning thanks to one of the bikes we were allowed to use. Perfect stay and very pleasant vacation!”

“We enjoyed very well our stay in Jane's trullo. It was a great experience!! It is well located in the lovely countryside between Martina Franca and Cisternino. You can easily reach the fascinating villages of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica. Just a little bit far you can visit Polignano a Mare and Matera. Jane and his husband David were very kind and helpful and a special thanks to Flavia for her friendly welcome.”

“We had a great few days at Jane's house. She is in a very quiet environment full of traditional architecture, like her own house. It has a central position for many tourist objectives and 5 m from a beautiful city like Martina Franca. The house is very nice and with the necessary equipment, it is a pity that time did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Jane was very kind to agree the swap with very few days before and the communication could not be faster and more fluid, providing us with all the necessary information. A great place to visit this beautiful region.”

“Had a lovely stay in Jane's Trullo. Spacious, well organised, beautiful building and garden, where we spent a lot of time despite the heat. Very close to beautiful locations such as Grotte di Castellana (a must!), Cisternino, Martina Franca, Polignano, Ostuni, Alberobello, Taranto and many more. 30 to 45 minutes to the seaside, with clean blue water, dunes, sea caves, etc. Great welcome and support from Flavia. ”

“We enjoyed Jane's beautiful house which is set in peaceful rural countryside a short drive from the nearest town, Martina Franca. It was very hot when we were there so it was pleasant to sit outside for breakfast under the shade of the trees where there was a breeze. The bedroom fan helped to keep us cool. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. This is a great base for exploring the hilltop towns and just half an hour from the nearest beaches. A car is essential. Jane was easy to communicate with and hopefully one day we may go again.”

“A huge thank you to Jane and David! We had a fantastic time in their lovely Trullo-house. Everything was just perfect. Jane was so sweet to provide us with lots of recommendations and we had great contact prior and also during our stay. We stayed with our 2 young daughters and it could not have been more perfect. The house is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfortable, and the house was clean, beautiful and cute. We loved the big terrace as well of course which was great for breakfast and lunch for us and the kids had lots of space to play. We totally fell in love with the whole region where the house is situated. It's a stunning part of Puglia and we found it quite magical with all the beautiful Trulli houses around, sometimes we felt just like in a fairy tale:-) Wonderful beaches are all within easy driving distances and the villages around Jane's house are adorable as well. We loved Martina Franca, but also really fell in love with Locorotondo. Both are such beautiful cities and people were super nice. With the kids it was easy as well as in the village centers, mostly no cars are allowed which makes it nice as they could play while we had dinner. And of course I don't have to tell you how amazing the dinners were.....we ate out every evening as everything was so fabulous. Thank you again Jane and David, we hope to return in the future! ”
