Our shabby chic home is a comfortable and spacious base for your dream holiday in Northern Italy! Italian marble floors keep it cool and fresh on hot days and all the rooms are light and airy. Spread over three floors, with two reception rooms and two dining areas, there is plenty of room. Enjoy cooking up local delicacies in the well-appointed and modern kitchen. Lots of play space for children both inside and out. We have four bedrooms to offer, two with king-size double bed, and two with queen-size double bed.
It is easy to reach all three Milan airports (Malpensa, Linate, Bergamo) and within an hour you can be in the Italian Alps. We are 20 minutes from the lovely Lago di Maggiore and one hour from Lago di Como. A direct train (5 minutes from the house) is the easiest and quickest way into central Milan for shopping, La Scala, Duomo and much more. High-speed trains from Milan connect you to Venice, Florence, Rome and Turin - all well worth a visit! The Italian Alps are an hour by car - wonderful hikes with spectacular views and great mountain food. There are several very beautiful and majestic Villas nearby to wonder at the opulent Italian style of the past.
Il Poggio, a sport club offering a huge outdoor pool, is located in the hills behind the house (5 minutes by car). A favourite summer day out for us is at Il Larice, Monate - a wonderful lake for summer swimming and lots of fun with pedalos, kayaks, picnic/barbeque facilities and pizzeria.
