“From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Anna and Chris. We arrived in the evening and were met at the boat stop by them and then offered lovely food and drinks on their beautiful roof terrace as the sun set over Venice. What a way to start our holiday! The canal-level apartment is in an excellent location for all the main visitor attractions and is very well appointed. You even get the odd gondola sailing right past the windows. Part-way through the holiday we even met Anna and Chris’s lovely son, daughter-in-law and their gorgeous dog, Thor. Without exception, everyone was so generous with their time and kindness and we were given lots of tips on where to visit and what to see. Locals really do know the best tips and hints on the city! Our thanks to Anna and Chris for making our time in Venice safe and special. We hope to visit again sometime. ”

“My husband and I stayed at Anna and Chris's home in Venice for a long weekend in October. We were very happy with the communication with Anna ahead of our trip, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Anna recommended a few very good restaurants for a special occasion. The flat was conveniently located in the northern part of Venice not far from the water taxi to the airport. Anna was very thoughtful in leaving a few breakfast items, knowing that we would be arriving at a late hour. We even had an opportunity to meet our host, they are very welcoming and nice. We really appreciated their local recommendations, which helped us avoid tourists traps. We would highly recommend visiting Venice and staying at Anna and Chris's home.”

Also, Anna and her husband, David, were incredible hosts. They even took us in their gondola for a ride around the city! “This was a wonderful experience, the location is fantastic, could almost reach out and touch a gandola as it passed and yet the street is so quiet you hardly see anyone, and Anna is very kind, helpful and welcoming. Meeting us off the boat and treating us to drinks and nibbles on her rooftop. Unfortunately we struck the hottest week of summer and the airconditioner didn’t cool the place at all. I’m sure if you are there any other time it will be wonderful. ”

“Anna and Chris are wonderful and generous hosts, passionate about Venice and full of suggestions of what to see, especially secret less well known places in Venice. The flat is right next to the picturesque bridge of Ponte Nova, off the quintessential Fondamenta Della Misericordia (the pretty path along the canal) where there are many restaurants away from the frenetic bustle of the busy Strada Nova near by. Cannaregio is a wonderful area to explore and catch the vaporetti along the Grand Canal, to Murano, Burano and other islands. We loved it all! thank you so much Anna and Chris!”

“We had an incredible 5 day stay in Venezia at Chris and Anna's flat. They have a darling little place in the Cannaregio District where we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go and all the places we needed to see. Prior to and during our stay, Anna was amazing to communicate with and even came to the train station to meet us upon arriving in Venice to walk us back to the flat. Upon arriving at the flat, everything was clean and in order and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable 5 day stay. Whenever we had a question about anything while there, either Anna or Chris were available to assist us. I would highly recommend staying at Chris and Anna's flat to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet stay in Venice. “We had a wonderful stay at Anna's and Chris's appartment in the heart of Venice . Anna and Chris made us most welcome by inviting us to join them for breakfast on their lovely rooftop deck overlooking the canals and rooftops of the adjoining houses. The appartment was perfect for our stay it is fully equipped including emergency rations of tea,coffee,condiments and spices should you decide to self cater . We arrived late into Venice and Anna came and met us at the ferry stop to show us the way to our appartment .Both Anna and Chris treat you as old friends it was a pleasure meeting them both and making us feel at home. “Thank you Anna for taking the time to make us so welcome when you were going away yourself the following day. Anna welcomed us with coffee and cake and showed us around the area and told us the best places to go and how to get there. We enjoyed the afternoon visit with you to the old boatyard museum which we would never have found ourselves. “Anna and Chris are delightful hosts and interesting, friendly people. They live in a 3 story home adjacent to the apartment, built in the 1400's and surrounded by 3 canals! Anna arranged to meet us at the vaporetto stop when we arrived from the airport. The next morning, they invited us to their rooftop for a scenic view of the neighborhood and a "picnic." I hesitate to describe the other aspects of hospitality that they extended to us, for fear of setting expectations by future guests. The apartment met our needs and expectations, and it is especially nice to be in a Venetian neighborhood instead of in a loud, touristy area and still be conveniently located for catching the vaporetto on the Grand Canal. Thank you, Anna and Chris for making us feel at home and for your instant friendship.”

“We spent a week in Venice at Anna and Chris' apartment and it was an ideal place from which to explore all aspects of the city and surrounds (close enough to all the main tourist attractions, yet in the "real" Venice, quieter and more relaxed). The apartment is compact but very well thought out and well equipped with everything necessary for all requirements and perfect for a couple. Thoroughly recommended!”

We were welcomed with perfect hospitality, guidance, advice and a hot cup of tea and home made cake...perfect!!! ☺ It was a very chilly three days so it was marvellous to return to the snug warmth of the apartment having walked for miles around the city. The underfloor heating made all the difference. This was our first sortie with LHS and using points; it was a gem. We would love to do it again. ”
