About our home

The Venetian apartment is very close to the railway station Santa Lucia (650mt/5 minutes walk), to the Ghetto (200mt/2 minutes walk) and is a reasonably 15 minutes walk to Ponte di Rialto and 20 minutes to Piazza San Marco. There is no need to explain Venezia or the surroundings.
The apartment is a first floor (not an high water area), two bedrooms apartment plus an extra loft bed, for a total of 750 square feet. It can easly host 6 people but I would prefer to have no more than 4/5 guests for their own comfort. It has a full equiped kitchen (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher), a bathroom with shower and a large living room, air conditioning and autonomous heating. The house is our home (Emanuela lives there 3 days a week and the family is there in the weekends), not a place for tourists, so it is complete with everyting a family normally needs including our furnitures and furnishings.

It is extremely silent (it faces internal backyards) but in the meanwhile it is very close to Strada Nuova, where are located a couple of supermarkets and lots of shops (greengroceries, butchers, fishmogers…), an to the Fondamenta, where locals and young tourists live their nightlife in bacari (small bars).
Close by there is the Jewish ghetto (the oldest in the world) with a synagogue, kosher restaurants and kosher bakery and take away.

There are direct flights from NY to Venice (that is an internationa airport) or to Milan, that is 2,5 hours by train.
