“Daniela and Tony were the perfect hosts; picking us up at the bus stop showing us round and making sure we had everything we needed. Daniela has beautiful English and was so helpful with all her communication before our trip and during it. They even stocked the fridge with essentials ahead of our arrival. The apartment was the percent size, beautifully clean and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. The beds were comfortable and the mosquito nets at the windows were great at keeping bugs at bay. The pool was fantastic and we loved using the bikes to visit the beach to swim or play on the pedalos. The location at Cavallino is fantastic for day trips into Venice and we also found a direct bus back to Marco Polo and Treviso during the summer season which made travel easier. When we returned home our house had been well cared for and was clean and tidy Mc All in all our exchange could not have been better and thought we always like to try different locations I think this is one exchange we would we very happy to repeat. Thank you Daniela and Tony. Five gold stars from usZ ”
Where is it?
The peninsula of Cavallino-Treporti is well-known as the less urbanized beach area of the Northern Adriatic sea, due to the fact that the reception of tourists is organized in campings and not in hotels.
At our doorstep there is a place where you can rent small electric boats or kayaks to explore Venice lagoon, where you can watch seabirds and if you are lucky you can see colonies of pink flamingos.
Historical Venice is easily reachable by bus+boat. The bus stops is just one hundred meters from the house.
The beach is ten minutes by bike. There is a cycle path and a not busy street that take you directly to the beach. We have four bikes that you can use.
We like the beach at late afternoon or early evening, and the lagoon nearby our house where there are always splendid sunsets
For the youngests aperitive and loud music at the Chiosco Duna at the beach starting in summer at 7pm, or the discoteques of the near town of Jesolo
Beach season starts from May 15th and end September 15th. But if you come in autumn or spring you can always use our flat as a base to visit Venice (40/50 minutes from here) and its minor islands like Murano, Burano, Torcello, San Francesco del Deserto etc and Venice Carnival in February. In the flat you will find a a beautiful Venician baroque lady's costume and some masks that you can use.
