About our home

Our home has recently been repainted and completely refurbished inside and out. It has a beautiful, white facade of a 1920's home with a baroque stairway entrance leading from the courtyard into the stairwell. One flight of stairs leads up to the landing with an ample space for shoes, hats and a coatrack. Inside, we have hardwood and marble floors, Murano chandeliers and Venetian ceiling moldings on the high ceilings. There is one master bedroom, one children's bedroom and a studio, which we have set up as an extra bedroom. The highlight of the apartment is the living room, which is the largest part of the home and is set off by the fireplace and balcony.

More about us

  1. I am an English teacher at the International Pre-school of Verona. I was born in San Francisco and raised in the bay area before moving to Italy 12 years ago when I worked for Gucci. My husband is a top executive for one of Italy's largest high-fashion producers. We have three small children. We were married in Big Sur and this would be our first home swap.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The Valdonega area which we live in is the most sought after area of Verona, just a 5 minute walk from the ancient Roman amphitheater and Roman bridge (the oldest in the city) which is the gateway into downtown Verona. The home is ideal for couple with or without children. Day trips to Venice, Lake Garda, the Lessinia mountains are all within an hour's drive. Verona lies an hour outside of Milan and Venice and 2 hours to Florence. It is called "The Jewel of Italy" with in Roman origins visible in every corner of the city.
