STRICTLY RENTAL ONLY
This spacious, fully renovated villa is the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Amalfi Coast while enjoying a fun, relaxing holiday and living La Dolce Vita in the sunshine of Southern Italy!
Set in expansive gardens high in the tranquil hills of the Sorrento Peninsula and surrounded by rolling greenery, the lovely villa has large outdoor terraces and a beautifully landscaped pool, and enjoys incredible views over the Mediterranean sea and rugged Amalfi coastline.
The villa has two bright floors, each with panoramic terrace:
The ground floor is comprised of an entrance hall, a sitting room/lounge area, plus a large, eat-in kitchen that is fully equipped with hob, oven, fridge, freezer, and dining table. French doors lead directly onto the terrace, where the outdoor furniture and BBQ makes for easy al-fresco dining in the warm summer air. In addition, this floor has two large bedrooms (one with double bed and air-conditioning, the other with twin/double bed), each with french doors accessing the scenic wrap-around terrace, as well as a family bathroom with bath-tub and overhead shower. The size of the rooms means that it is possible to add a third roll-away bed if needed.
The second floor enjoys its own secure entry door from the ground floor terrace, giving added privacy, flexibility and convenience for groups of friends or families. It can act as a self-contained apartment if desired. One bedroom has twin or double beds, with plenty of space for a third roll-away bed if required, while the other bedroom is a large double room with air-conditioning. There is a bathroom with shower, and a well-equipped kitchenette, saving the need to go downstairs. The second floor's outdoor terrace has unobstructed views over the gardens and the pool area, and the Mediterranean sea beyond - a great place to relax and read as the sun sets over the surrounding olive groves.
The ample space indoors is matched by vast outdoor areas, where you can laze in a comfortable lounger and parasol surrounded by flat lawns, and soak up the unforgettable views from the 9x5m private pool. Idyllic tranquility or fun-filled adventure - the choice is yours!
Guests will have full, private and exclusive access to the villa, pool and surrounding gardens. Entry is via a security gate, and the sweeping driveway leads to plentiful on-site parking, with level-access to the villa.
The villa is set in the hills close to Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, a picturesque little town where you will find several family-run restaurants, gelaterias, fresh pasta shops, fruit and vegetable stores, mini-markets, bakeries, butchers and fish-shops, coffee shops, supermarkets, bars, pubs and other small shops for all your needs. Prices are still reasonable, much lower than those of Sorrento, Capri or Positano. Sant'Agata still preserves the beauty and warmth of a past and simpler life; so while it has every convenience (even a 2-Michelin-star restaurant!) it is full of genuine local charm.
There many beautiful sights and towns in the surrounding area, like Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and other villages on the Amalfi Coast, as well as the islands of Capri and Ischia, and the historical ruins of Pompeii.
The nearby local beaches are a great place to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, with sun-loungers and umbrellas on the shore, and sea-front restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy the local cuisine.
The villa is across the road from a protected pine forest - "La Pineta" - a beautiful place for a walk. Hikers will be spoiled for choice with the many great trails winding their way around the Sorrento Peninsula and Amalfi Coast.
The villa's hill top location, 400 meters above sea level with a pleasant summer climate, is ideal for a good rest after a day spent at the beach or exploring the area, or simply a nice place to enjoy a fun holiday!
The closest airport is Naples, and hiring a car is recommended. Car hire is available at the airport and central train station, and there are also car hire offices in Sorrento. The roads in Southern Italy can tend to be narrow, so a smaller size vehicle may be the best choice. For those who prefer not to drive, we can help with transfers and a private driver - please ask us for details.
