About our home

My apt is in the wonderful city of Tokyo. Just like the city, it is clean, extremely convenient, efficient, safe as fort knox (secuirty on-site but not that you need it in Tokyo) and right in the middle of everything. The apt is located in Ebisu right next to Garden Place Tower, Westin Hotel, Joel De Rubochon (3 stars) on the higashi guchi (east exit) site of Ebisu station. You can go fancy or go to local hole in the wall / dive bar place ..or anywhere in between. Its on the JR Yamanote line and Ebisu staiton is one stop from Shibuya. You can walk to the trendiest places in daikanyama or naka maeguro. Omotesando is about a 20 minute walk but having lived there for 10 years, I have to say that Ebisu is much more fun. The apt is in Park Court Ebisu Hilltop Residence built by the Mitsui Construction, the highest quality construction company, and has all the appropriate earthquake safeguards (but if you worry about that sort of thing you probably don't want to visit Japan). The apt itself is small by US standards. Its 72 sqm (or about 770 sq ft). The bedrooms are small and good for sleeping - but no extra couch or chaise lounge there). Its a corener apt wiith windows on two sides of the L...brigth, open, nice views and actually just what I wanted for a crash pad in Tokyo (which is why I bought it). The neighbourhood is brilliant. Lots of fun, young folks, places to go out and great for sightseeing tokyo. I am sure you can search for "Ebisu" on the web or check out Lonely Planet or some other guide book. Not really a "zen" place with lots of temples etc - but perfect to go everywhere and come back to and then go out in the local n'hood and have a blast. I can go on and on...but probably best to reply to specific inquires. I'm currently taking a year (or more !!) off from work and so this is a good year to home swap. I am travelling often to London, the US and Europe ...but open to new adventures. Feel free to ask me anything. I think the apt is perfect for a couple (or single person). It can probably host 3 grown up (maybe even 4 - but I would not recommmend it). There is only one bathroom (toilet + shower and bath) so that may get a bit tight for folks. Its perfect for an adult couple.

Hope this gives you some sense. I haven't posted any pictures yet (just learnt abou this site on BBC world news) but will do so soon. Maybe I can take a picture or two tonight. More will follow.

Oh - and the maid can come once or twice a week.
