Bright and spacious penthouse in central Tokyo, built in the Japanese "Bubble Era" in a quiet but very central district (there's almost no car traffic outside because the road is narrow and steep). We have 2 small children, so we also have a hard working washer/dryer, dishwasher and masses of toys and books for your children to enjoy. The bedrooms are away from the living area, which is one large living/dining area with balcony off to one side and kitchen to the other. The balcony has rattan-style loungers and cushions, perfect for drinks or eating al fresco.
We have one full bathroom (with computer controlled toilet, wet-room, shower and bath). The second toilet has another computer controlled "washlet".
From the dining room table and the balcony there are great views of the Tokyo Tower (Tokyo's most famous landmark) and panoramic city skyline. Very, very fast wifi everywhere inside, and on the balcony too. Video walk-thru at: https://youtu.be/Gg7n4oHzwak
You can use our electric "Mama-chari" with 2 child seats and a tall man's mountain bike. There are at least three subway stations within easy walking distance (Sengakuji, Shinagawa and Shirokane Takanawa) all are on different lines, which means there are a lot of options. Sengakuji station (Asakusa line) is the nearest at just 5 minutes walk away, and has direct trains in 20 mins to Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport) or Narita Airport (also direct, 80 mins). There are also four different bus lines within 5 minutes walk. Lincos supermarket is 5 mins walk, Peacock is 10 mins walk (or 3 mins and so easy by "mama-chari").
Within 5 mins walk: Sengakuji station (direct to airports), Lincos supermarket, French bakery, post office, convenience stores, Sengakuji shrine (47 Ronin), parks and restaurants.
Within 15 mins walk: Shinagawa (aquarium, cinemas, lots of restaurants)
