About our home

Our home has three bedrooms upstairs where our daughters sleep ... very lucky to have their own rooms. We also have a tatami room (grass mat flooring with carpet on top) where my wife and I sleep. Hardwood floors throughout the house. Upstairs sink/laundry/shower room with separate toilet room. Downstairs half bath. Heat and A/C separately controlled in each room - but not the bathrooms or foyers ... sorry, that's totally a Japanese thing but you get used to it.

We can't allow use of cars due to Status of Forces Agreement restrictions. If you want to rent a car you need an international driving permit and we have space to park. Tolls are really expensive.

We have not totally decided to home swap, still checking our lease to see if it's allowed.

Where is it?

This is a traditional Japanese house in a medium density suburban neighborhood. About 200 yards from Tokyo Bay and a seawall great for walking or running. Biking is flat and safe. There is a big beautiful park very close by, and a train station and 24-hour market within a 10 minute walk.
