About our home

Our lovely home is perfect for anyone's outdoor adventure getaway. Situated just 5 minutes' drive from the famous Niseko resort, it's just out of the way enough to feel like you've got the whole place to yourself. Nestled among the forest and Niseko's beautiful mountain range, it's a peaceful place to come for a summer. Cycle through mountain passes and along the ocean, sampling the locally cultivated cuisine; day trip to the sea or popular Lake Toya, have a barbecue, go for a hike across volcanic mountain tops, or enjoy relaxing on the porch nestled among the huge pine conifers and write that book you've been wanting to write. Just a ten-minute drive to over 30 local hot springs, this beautiful home is the perfect relaxation station. Our home is absolutely perfect for a longer summer getaway. There are two bedrooms with two beds each, and there are two open-plan loft spaces; one we've organized as an office suitable for two people with all of the necessary equipment, and the other is currently set up as a relax/meditation/exercise room, but can also be converted into sleeping quarters. We've also got a simple easy-to-use sofa bed suitable for one or two people. All beds are outfitted with memory foam mattresses, soft pillows, and clean crisp linens. Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of the house is the large bathing room that is spring fed with famous Niseko onsen water. There's a bathtub with an electronic feature to heat the water up to the desired temperature, or you can use the tap water and regulate the temperature yourself. The kitchen is small but perfectly functional. There is a screened-in porch with large quadruple slider doors, a woodstove, a front outdoor garden patio space perfect for barbecues, and a large basement for additonal storage. There is a laundry washer as well, and the toilet room is outfitted with the famous Japanese heated toilet seat. We've got a woodstove for those colder rainy days, as well as a kerosene heater to maintain a comfortable temperature while you're out of the house. There are neighboring homes, but they are rarely inhabited and the neighbors (when they visit) are incredibly friendly. The area behind the house is a vast forest with dirt roads, secret shrines, wild hot spring waterways, and hiking trails that go on for miles... all just waiting to be explored on foot or by bike. We are animal people and we also love children, so your whole family is welcome here.
