Seaside Villa One is a 4 bedroom beach house tucked away in its own private tropical garden within 'Tamani', a large beachfront property on Galu Beach. The villa has it's own private swimming pool and is just 230 metres from the beautiful and uncrowded beach - you just stroll down through the lovely Tamani gardens to the beach With large rooms the house accommodates 8 guests comfortably in a contemporary Swahili design with spacious living areas.
There are 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, living area, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, private swimming pool and terrace. One bedroom with en-suite bathroom is on the ground floor overlooking the garden and swimming pool. It has a king-size bed, mosquito net, AC, ceiling fan and study table. The upper floor has three bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom at the front has a king-size bed, walk-in dressing room, AC, ceiling fan and a private balcony overlooking the garden. Of the other two bedrooms, one has a king-size bed, while the other is ideal for kids with a bunk beds plus a single bed. Both bedrooms have mosquito nets, AC and a ceiling fan.
The house has large windows and thick coral-stone walls finished with smooth stucco plaster, high ceilings to help the interiors to remain cool even in the hottest months. The open-plan dining and living room overlooks the swimming pool and exterior terrace for relaxed beach side living. For a small cost we can arrange for you to have a cook and housekeeper to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
Diani Beach and Galu Beach areas are one of Kenya’s best-kept secrets and the location of the villa makes it easy to visit game parks, forests and other beaches as well as the local cafes, restaurants and beach bars.
“The house is exactly as described and photographed. Tastefully built and decorated with lots of great west African artwork, polished neru and stressed wood. Staff were friendly and helpful. We opted for the cook, Cosmos, (although we ate out a lot in the two days as we’d come to see friends) so he didn’t have too much opportunity to show us his skills, but his fish lunch was excellent. Hugh was great with his communication. The beach is of course just idyllic. ”
“This was the perfect place to chill and relax, the house is beautiful with stunning architectural features. Huge bedrooms with great en-suite bathrooms and lots of wardrobe space for clothes. We took up the opportunity to have a chef cook for us during our stay, Cosmos was a great chef and we dined on fresh local caught fish and lobster most evenings. And i musnt forget to mention the friendly and helpful housekeeper, Milcah who made sure our stay passed without a hitch. The house is perfectly situated very close to a spotless, white sandy beach, perfect for swimming. Thank you Hugh, it was the perfect end to our holiday in East Africa!! See you again soon ”
“Hugh has been extremely kind, helpful, fast in responding and thoughtful. He even came along with candles when there was a power outage in the area. Also the housemaid was very friendly and professional. All in all the house is great and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can totally recommend this place!”

The place is wild and well located for visiting Funzi Island and Wasini Island where we saw dolphins, turtles and extraordinary fish. The contact with Hugh was easy and warm. Galu Beach is the finest section of beach in Kenya. It's an extension of Diani Beach and is a residential area. The main Diani Beach commercial area is about 4 kms away, however very close to us there are 4 beach bars and restaurants - all with a few hundred metres along the beach. This is also a prime area for kite surfing and swimming. The sea is safe, no rocks and is protected by the coral reef about 1km offshore so there are no strong currents or big waves. It's great for kids and adults alike.
