Our beautiful beach-side home is situated at the beginning of Batu Feringhi, one of the most famous tourist areas in Penang. Shamrock Beach is a shady beach, ideal for picnics and swims in the warm sea, or even just quiet contemplation on its rocks. If water sports are more your cup of tea, there is a centre within walking distance, offering jet-skis, canoes and various other beach-related activities.
The bus stop is right next to the beach so trips into town are a breeze as are day trips to more beaches deeper in Batu Feringhi, Penang island's thriving tourist belt.
Our home is airy and full of natural light. It is fully furnished with quality
furniture and all mod-cons. It is fully air-conditioned throughout and all the bedrooms even have ceiling fans, so you can open the windows and enjoy the cool sea breeze from the beach.
All the bedrooms are fully furnished with built-ins and ensuite bathrooms. There is a study on the top floor, full of books so you can enjoy quiet evenings browsing the bookshelves.
The master bedroom is equipped with a flat-screen television. The bathroom has a bathtub and a Hansgrohe rain-maker.
Our home has two kitchens. One for heavy-duty cooking, fully equipped with a professional oven-cooker and black-granite working tops. The 'dry' kitchen is a beautiful designer creation, with a two-door fridge freezer and stone sink.
I personally feel pictures don't do justice to our beautiful home. It has to be seen and experienced!
Penang is truly a beautiful island with so much to offer tourists. It is a UNESCO World Heritage city so you can spend days exploring it's quaint streets and trendy cafes nestled in pre-war buildings.
No review of the state would be complete without a mention of food. A true food haven, you can have cheap delicious hawker fare or international haute cuisine! Just take your pick!
If you love lounging by a swimming pool, I can recommend a 5-star hotel that sells passes for it's excellent pool facilities. For a fee, you will be able to enjoy unlimited acess to the pool and discounts on food and beverages.
We don't offer our car but I can recommend a really good local driver. He is very trustworthy and a careful driver with a nice, clean car. An excellent guide too! He also does pick ups from the airport. All for a very reasonable fee.
As this is not our main home, we can rent it out any time to those interested in having an authentic Penang experience without exorbitant hotel fees. Please do enquire about dates and rates.
We are a couple with a beautiful 4 year-old girl.
Husband is an engineer and I was an editor before becoming a fulltime housewife.
We love holidaying in the UK, having studied there 12 years ago. Husband is an aviation nut!
