A beautiful 2-and-half story terrace house set just on the outskirts of Kota Kinabalu, it is just minutes away from the city center, and only a couple of hours drive away from Kinabalu Park, where the highest mountain in South East Asia sits.
The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood. We have a live in maid who takes care of the house. In terms of facilities our house has airconds in all but one of the bedrooms, heated shower, and broadband access.
There is a beautiful open back yard / kitchen where you can both cook your meals, or sit down at an "open air" dining area and enjoy the weather while lazing the day away. You can even catch sight of the Kinabalu Mountain on a clear day from the yard!
A small pond in the front provides a soothing ambiance for those who enjoy listening to water flowing, and watching the fishes swimming around in the waters.
Queit neighborhood, you might have to walk a bit to get a bus to go to city center, but a short bicycle ride away are some shops where you can get your sundries, do your laundry or eat out.
There are several activities that you can do in and around Kota Kinabalu. The house is near the seaside, so you can take a break on the way to the house to enjoy the sea view. There is also a sea port nearby, so you can hire a boat out to the islands and have fun with a host of water activities, or head on to Tg. Aru Beach to view the sunset. There is a morning street market held in the city center every Sunday called Gaya Street Fair, and offers an abundance in local arts and craft.
We are mostly working professionals, in the education / IT line. When it comes to travelling, we view it as a chance to get away for a while from the rigors of work, and enjoy seeing new places, meeting new places and trying out new things.
Malaysia being a multi-cultural country, we can speak not only English and our mother tongue Malay, we also can speak Chinese, and our dialect Hokkien. Some members of the family trying his hand out with German also
