About our home

Heavens door Guest house is an eclectic townhouse in the old fishing village of Fontana in Gozo, Malta’s smaller and quieter sister island. This home is a 300 year old house of character featuring traditional features, dramatic stairways, high ceilings and maltese tiles throughout. We are ideally located 15 minute walk to Xlendi beach and a 10 minute walk from Victoria the capital where the Citadella is situated. This makes it perfect to spend nice afternoons on the beach and mornings exploring the rest of Gozo with the islands main bus terminus being in walking distance.
There is a plunge pool and chill out area on the second floor for those lazy vacation days.

For now our plans are uncertain as we live between Malta and Portugal, so are swapping just one of our rooms. Please contact us for variations, scenarios, direct swaps, other rooms available as well as this room and even our entire home which sleeps 13

Peters room is a large double room with a traditional wooden balcony and and a private bathroom with a Victorian bathtub. It is part of Heavens door guesthouse and is available to swap for points or even a direct swap. The room has a kettle, toaster and fridge. It is tastefully furnished with Egyptian cotton sheet and has AC in summer and heating in winter.

The house is furnished using a mix of typical furniture brought back to life by local artists and Amelia as well as steampunk art (metal being a favourite medium) and African art reflecting our african heritage as well as other artistic influences such as Burning Man. A lot of the installations found in our home are made by local genius artist Spyke Von Strype.
There is a supermarket and chemist and fruit and veg market a 2 minute walk away.
