Our lovely terraced house in MALTA was built about 50 years ago. We live in a quiet street but very easy 5 minute walking distance to a small sandy beach, restaurants, Cinemas, bus stop, etc and 10 minutes walk distance to the St. Julians promenade, restaurants, and ample swimming rocky beaches (no sand), SANDY BEACHES are in the north of h Island about 20 minutes bus ride, and sliema harbour and shopping centres.
Busses near us go to all parts of the Island. Busses to Valletta every 10 minutes. The distance is 8 Km

More about us

  1. We are a retired couple with three children. We've lived in England for 35 years and after my husband retired ( we owned a small hotel in London and I was an English teacher. Our children are all married, one son loving in Hong Kong, the other son is a banker in London and my daughter lives in Malta with her husband and children.

  2. We love exploring especially old towns. We love going to Classical concerts, opera, the theatre.

  3. We've done quite a bit of travelling. my last holiday was visiting our son in HK and then Vietnam. Being so close to Sicily we often put the car on the ferry and go.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Many restaurants, some by the sea,
Cool bars
The tapas bar five minutes walk away is our favourite, the decore is lovely and great food at reasonable prices. St Julian's a short walk away have very good restaurants by the sea and a lovely promenade. Also swimming along st Julian's is rocky but very clean and beautiful sea.
Cozy cafés
Portomaso little harbour has lots of lovely coffee shops and restaurants.
Retail therapy
There are a few shops down the road from us but Sliema is good for shopping. Also Valletta. Some Italian dress shops but others
Bit of culture
Valletta is going to be the European City of culture. It's a beautiful Baroque city with lovely buildings and cathedral. Really pleasant to walk around and capture the athmosphere. Restaurants, theatres with classical concerts and lots more. We also have the oldest free standing temples in the world. Some 35000 BC and the Ines in Gozo are older. Gozo island is only 20 minute boat trip. Leaves from the north of the island every half hour or so.
Walks in the park
The promenade in st Julian's is great for either power walks or a leisurely walk by the sea and plenty of coffee shops along the way. For a more quiet walk Dingli Cliffs is great. Lovely walks and views.
Spot of exercise
There is a fantastic gym just minutes walk away. Fully equipped and first class machines and classes to attend to.
Day tripping
Day trips to Sicily are popular but also a day in Gozo is great. Pottering around Valletta, cruise around the grand harbour with commentary in most languages, trip to the temples or exploring the villages in the middle of the island. A trip to Mdina is a must. You can probably see it online.
