“Excellent swap. Susie was very helpful with pre arrangements and whilst there and her lady to hand was too, who lives next door. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. It is in a great location with easy walking distance to the main town Victoria. We were lucky and had amazing weather all week to explore the wonderful island. Getting a transfer from Malta Airport to the house in one taxi made life very easy. Buses were great and taxis not expensive. Highlight was a private boat charter for the day and fabulous restaurants at Xlendi bay. Gozo is a magical island. Thank you Susie ”

“Absolutely lovely place to stay. We loved our time at Susannah's fantastic home and can highly recommend both the house and Gozo. Stunning island, packed with history, lovely people, great snorkeling! All in all a fabulous experience, thank you Susannah.”
“Malta is one of the loveliest places we have visited. Susie’s home is a real treasure and we had the most delightful week in Gozo. The bus stop was very close and the Public transport was great. We travelled all over the island on the buses and crossed from Valletta by ferry. We had delicious lunches overlooking fishing villages and bays. We visited markets, Churches, the Citadel and many of the beaches. Another fantastic LHS.”
“Excellent stay, we had a lovely time. ”

Kercem is a quiet village lying close to the south east of Ir Rabat the capital. It is surrounded by the most beautiful inland landscape, open fields and sea views just a few minutes walk away.
You can get all your daily provisions from our local shop Ta Gona. Giuseppe the owner is one of the happiness men in Gozo!
There is a local butcher, pharamacy and wonderful baker, 'Davids bakery' in the village. All shops open at 7am close at 12 thne reopen 4-7pm.
Victoria the capital is five mins by car. The citadel is a must see. Incredible views across the island and ancient architechure.
There are lots of modern supermarkets and shops in Victoria as well as a Saturday market.
Xlendi bay is our nearest bay for swimming. A lovely small fishing cove with plenty of restaurants and bars. You can sun bathe on the rocks or take a walk around the bay following the path up the steep slope to arrive on sun kissed rocks and wind carved caves. The water is deep here but worth it. Take your snorkle.
If you fancy a boat trip then look no further than Louis at Xlendi Watersports. He will look after your every need on the water.
Other beaches on Gozo. For sand Ramla and beach bars, San Blas is very pretty but expect a steep climb back up the hill. Worth noting in summer beaches are busy so go early before the crowds.
In all there is so much to do in Gozo. Diving, kayaking ,hiking, swimming, sailing, water sports, lively bars, live music, fiestas and restaurants. You will not be bored but if you just want somewhere to relax than The Orchids is the place. Local deliveries will come to your door so you don't even have to go out!
