About our home

Ir -Razzett Tal-Magna stands perched on a hillside. It's unique location and architecture makes it one of a kind. The oldest room (the dining room) is a cave with mangers where the animals would feed. This room has history dating back to the times of the knights of St John. It is said that this was there hunting lodge. Located in a country road in a rural area, all four of Malta's best sandy beaches, including Gnejna Bay, Golden Bay and Mellieha Bay are from 5 - 15 minutes drive away, and the village of Mgarr, locally well known for the no-frills restaurants serving typical Maltese dishes, is within walking distance. This beautifully restored farmhouse villa offers accommodation in the form of sitting room with fireplace, kitchen/breakfast room (fully equipped with modern appliances incl dishwasher), unique dining room set in a large, old cave (!), a second dining area and living room, all surrounding a large central courtyard, with two natural caves and a cellar. The villa also has five bedrooms (all have ac), two of which have ensuite shower/bathrooms, the other three enjoy use of another bathroom. The main bedroom has it's own living area/conservatory which takes in far reaching sea and countryside views. Outside, one finds the swimming pool with sun terraces and outside shower, a jacuzzi/lounge area, garden with trees, and a verdant lawn.

Malta is a very small island and the capital city of Valletta is a 15 minute drive away, or one bus away if you wish to get the bus. Other larger towns like Sliema and St Julians are 15 minutes away by car. The northern towns of Mellieha and St Pauls Bay are closer and within easy reach. So are the islands of Gozo and Comino. The airport is an approx 10 minute drive and the historical fortress town of Mdina is a 5 minute drive away.
