About our home

Our home is full of character and charm, and in first class condition. All rooms surround a large and very private central courtyard, which is the most perfect place to sit, eat and relax. The house is very romantic, and rather idealic. It is a large house with big rooms and high ceilings. The master bedroom has its own dressing room, ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. The other bedrooms are also large, one with an interesting birthing chamber from days of old! There are two sitting rooms, one formal and one with tv and cable which is very homely and spacious. We have a beautiful, large kitchen and a separate dining room. There is an office with all mod cons. Basically you will have to force yourselves to go out of it! Seriously this house is a must if you wish to have your all your home comforts, but with some history thrown in.

More about us

  1. I am Maggie, a psychologist, and my husband is Lino, a wine consultant. We moved to Malta over 6 years ago from the UK. Although there are only two of us in a large house, this is due to our family and friends constantly visiting us from the U.K! We enjoy visiting historical places and country walking when on holiday. We have not exchanged before but feel it is the perfect way to avoid hotel accommodation. We would like to travel before the school summer holidays this year.

Where is it?

Mosta is situated in the centre of the Island. It is one of the major towns in Malta, but still retains its former laid back charm. Malta is only 17 miles by 9 miles so everywhere is close by and it is surrounded by the coastline. Swimming is safe and the sea always clear and very blue! The bus service on Malta is cheap and good if you do not wish to drive. If you do wish to have a car we can arrange car hire with a good, international firm at a discounted price. Parking is no problem and we drive on the right here, just like the U.K. Mosta is famous for having the 3rd largest church dome in the world, and this is only minutes away from the house on foot. Mdina, the old medieval city, is only 5km away and a visit to this walled, silent city is a must. Malta has a very rich history, starting with the Neolithic Temples; which were built before Stonehenge, to the British rule when Malta was part of the British Empire. As a result of this everyone in Malta speaks English so communication is never a problem. The island really is full of historic buildings, museums, churches, some of which are breathtaking. Valletta, the capital is only a 30 minute bus ride away and again it is a must see place. Malta really does have something for everyone, wheather you want sun, sea, sight-seeing, walking, nightlife, you will find everything here.
