Casa Bacaanda is a beautiful 5-bedroom villa with an infinity pool, and the services of a maid, gardener and gourmet cook. The villa is fully equipped with a Bose sound system, high-speed wired and wireless internet (using our computers) and many other amenities. Or you can choose to lounge by the pool, admire the ocean views, and shut out civilization! Huatulco is Mexico's newest ecotourism destination. It consists of nine bays and over thirty pristine beaches, some of them accessible only by water (boat rentals are easy and inexpensive). Huatulco is within driving distance of historical Oaxaca and Chiapas, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. There are three daily flights to Huatulco from Mexico City (50 minutes), and several weekly flights from Houston (2 hrs, 30 mins.) More details on our website (see the Homepage) As Casa Bacaanda is our vacation home (we live near Boston), we have lots of flexibility with regard to an exchange. While our travel plans for most of 2009 have been filled, we would be interested in trading time in our property in 2009 for time in yours either in late 2009 or 2010. Our family is well traveled, and we are always interested in adventures, whether it be skiing, hiking or visiting new and exotic destinations.
Erik and Susanne live in Concord, Massachusetts (20 minutes west of Boston). Erik is Chairman and CEO of Harvey Building Products, a manufacturer of windows and doors in the northeast United States. Susanne is raising our three kids - Anders (14), Anna (12) and Lily (7). Casa Bacaanda is the Jarnryds' vacation home in Mexico. Erik's mother, Britt, lives in Huatulco and administers the house (she lives in a nearby apartment when guests are there). Britt and Susanne also run our family's foundation to benefit villages in Oaxaca state.
