“We had a lovely time in Adam’s property! Beautiful decoration, calm, close to the center, it was the perfect place from where we visited Yucatán, and came to rest, enjoying the swimming pool and the restaurants at night. Thank y you very much Adam.”
Adam's reviewsAs a host (4)
“It was a pleasure and a privelege to stay in Casa Cardenas in Mérida. Excellent location for exploring the town and surrounding areas. In the hot summer weather the house and pool provided a serene oasis to return to. Generous spaces, beautiful rooms and superb decor enabled us to have a wonderful experience in Mexico. Adam was a great corespondent and made the swap easy to execute.”
“We are just back from Adam's place in Merida and can not say enough good things. Communication was easy, the place simple to find, the location was fantastic and the house itself was perfect. We traveled with friends, 3 couples, and each had our own space and then lots of room to hang out together. The pool was a god send since it's pretty hot in Merida. The location couldn't be beat. We didn't have a car, but could walk to everything easily, however, our neighborhood was calm and quiet. We had really delicious food in Merida, from the high end Apoala to the amazing Taqueria Lupita in the Santiago Market just a few short blocks away. (Both should not be missed) I loved this exchange (I have done over 40 so feel qualified to comment). If you get the chance you should go to Adam's place. We would go back in a heartbeat! ”
“WOW! What a fabulous home and location. We can't say enough great things about our time at Casa Cardenas and in the lovely city of Merida. First off, Adam is a great host. He was quick to respond to all emails and extremely generous with our family. His home is a perfect 10 out of 10. What we loved most was all the space to stretch out--makes all the difference if you're travelling with a large family or friends. The house is huge! Three of the bedrooms are actually their own private *casitas* with bathrooms. There are two separate outdoor spaces. A huge kitchen for gathering. It would be hard to pick a favorite area of the house (we tried out everything!), but I'd have to say it would probably be the "sala." There are 2 long built-in couches, tons of pillows (including extras for getting comfy on the floor). There are probably over 100 DVD's (Spanish and English and a great mix), a super home theater system, and a projector for watching movies on the 20 foot wall!! We were in heaven! There's even a popcorn machine! The house manager, Veronica, made us feel very welcome and comfortable for our first visit in Merida. She's lovely and will help you with everything you could need during your stay. The street is centrally located to everything (right around the corner from the English Library), but very quiet. Right next to a tiny boutique hotel with very friendly owners so we felt right away that we had "friends" on the block. The city of Merida is known as being the safest city in all of Mexico and we found that to certainly be the case. We walked everywhere, and really enjoyed the Centro neighborhood around Casa Cardenas. The architecture! Bring your camera. Thank you, Adam. If we ever get back to Merida (and we hope to), Casa Cardenas will be our first stop! ”
