About our home

Casita Andalucía is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom beautifully designed Spanish-Mediterranean-style home. Its adobe-style pure white “muros” compliment the thick stone walls and high, wood ceilings throughout the house. As you enter the property, you step into an ample and attractive portico area with its own barbecue grill and outside kitchenette. Here are a number of special features, including a beautifully crafted wood-beam roof alongside Spanish-style arches and vine-covered cantera columns along the corredor. This area is an inviting place to have gatherings and enjoy outside comidas! This portico area opens up to the "jardín" and main patio, one of the most attractive features of the property. This home is a simple yet intimate and inviting dwelling, with rustic, antique, carefully picked French-Campigna-style furnishings and decor, fully furnished and equipped.

More about us

  1. Hola! My name is Erika and I am originally from Mexico City, though I also have a Spanish passport and still have family connections in Spain. I have a lovely and inquisitive 10-year old daughter. Before having my daughter, I spent years traveling the world, but settled for a while after she was born (I can’t believe she’s already 10 years old!). Now that she has her first passport, we are eager to travel, and my dream is to start showing her places around the world! I have a successful vacation-property management business here in San Miguel, and this allows me to take time off. We hope to spend time in France, Argentina, Portugal, and more. It is my dream to show my daughter new places and have her experience different cultures, which is an aspect of life that's important to me. So, with San Miguel de Allende as our home base, we are seeking opportunities to travel, primarily 2-6 weeks at a time, but would also consider any other offers! We have a studio in the "campo" (countryside) nearby, so we’ll be able to stay there when we are hosting home exchange guests in our main house. Thus we are flexible as far as dates are concerned. We will be pleased to welcome an individual or a couple (or a family with a child at least 10 years old, but if this is an issue, please contact us, as we might be open to making an exception in special circumstances). We are looking forward to new travel experiences and hope we will soon connect with people that share our enthusiasm for discovery! Muchos Saludos!
