About our home

Brand-newly opened in 2017, the Cholula Rooms Bed & Breakfast is in a privileged location to reach the main attractions of the ancient pyramid town Cholula, Puebla. Based on the second floor of a hometown householder built in the 80s, the B&B is located at Cholula’s main street, just a 10-minute walk from downtown, where 16th century churches surround the Great Pyramid, with “Nuestra Senora de los Remedios” Sanctuary on top and Cholula’s Regional Museum at the bottom.

Our Art-Deco Home offers 4 room types:

* Aqua Room: Mediterranean style, spacious and comfortable. Feeling of freshness and quietness.

* White Room: Modern-classic style, contrast between the clarity of white walls and dark furniture.

* Chocolate Room: Scandinavian (hygge) style, simplicity that brings warmth and comfort to the environment, furniture with fresh colors and soft contours.

* Wood Room: Rustic style, cabin type, wooden walls are the main protagonist, cozy and warm.

Our rooms, fully renovated in July 2017, are non-smoking and feature a private bathroom.

Where is it?

Cholula is a city and district located in the center west of the state of Puebla, next to the city of Puebla de Zaragoza, in central Mexico. Cholula is best known for its Great Pyramid, with the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios sanctuary on top and its numerous churches. The most important festival is that dedicated to the Virgin of the Remedies, the patron of the city in its entirety, which occurs at the beginning of September.

Downtown, in the heart of Cholula. There is now a nice "tourist train" that runs between Puebla and Cholula, dropping you off just at the base of the pyramid. However, the train still has limited hours, so you'll need to plan ahead. Most days, there are three departures from Puebla in the morning and three returns, each about 40 minutes long, from Cholula in the late afternoon and evening. If you prefer more flexibility, you may be better off taking an Uber one or both ways.

Beyond the pyramid, there are quite a few fun things to see and do in Cholula. If Talavera is on your wish list, head to the Santa Caterina factory and shop, one of the official government license holders to sell the products. Their range is huge, from dishes to candle-holders to jewelry and even decorative eggs a la Faberge.

When lunchtime rolls around, don't park in a restaurant. Instead, walk through the meandering Mercado Municipal Cosme del Razo, a multi-street series of stalls where you can sample a local Cholula craft beer, custom-order tacos to be cooked in front of you, buy a traditional embroidered dress or shirt, and pick up handmade wooden toys and crafts as souvenirs -- all in a single short stroll. Good news for a hot day: the market is mostly covered, so you'll be able to avoid a sunburn.
