“We did an exchange with Karla and Miguel in the summer of 2010. There are many ways of winning a lottery and this was one of them! They are perfect homeforexchange hosts and we were very happy staying in their house. It is in an ideal neighbourhood: close to everything, nice restaurants, metro, buses, Coyoacan, San Angel,... Although maybe Mexico-city has a reputation, it is an amazing city with enormous culture, very nice restaurants, quiet neighborhoods and most of all: The most friendly people! An incredible experience!”

Karla's reviews
As a host (2)“Karla and Miquel welcomed us to their city and their home with warmth and thoughtfulness. They took care to introduce us to their complex city so that we had a carefree visit. They arranged contacts with a taxi company, found a tour guide for the pyramids and recommended local restaurants that were fantastic. This was a wonderful opportunity that delighted us! Thank you Karla and Miguel. Carole and Karen”

We're a young couple (30's) with no kids yet. I work in Public Relations and my wife is a Finance Marketing specialist. We've traveled a lot in the past 2 years as newly-weds and love travelling aywhere in the world learning about new cultures and the best way to do it is by being a local. We're new at Home Exchange and we're more than ready to experience it. We can't wait to do it. Our home is full with love, not luxuries, and we'd love to share it with some one ready for a great time in a great city!

Neighbourhood
Nice & quiet neighborhood in south Mexico City. 5-minute walk to Insurgentes avenue, the most important on the City with restaurants, shops, galleries, bars & clubs. Public transportation, if needed, is within 3 blocks. We have lived all of our lives in Mexico City and could offer great touristic advice. Historical downtown Mexico City is only 20 minutes away where you could see Aztec, Colonial and Modern sites in one location. Mexico Ciy is the perfect location for day-trips within a 2-hour car drive: colonial cities nearby: Queretaro, Cuernavaca. Arquelogical sites: Teotihuacan pyramids (one of the largest and best preserved in all Mexico) Tepoztlan, Xochicalco. Great locations: Taxco (cheapest silver in Mexico and one of the oldest Cathedrals) San Miguel de Allende (one of the best preserved colonial towns). The possibilites are endless. I recommend to spend 4-5 days in Mexico City and then take one-day trips or even spend a night somewhere close. If you feel like visiting a long-time beach attraction, going to Acapulco is only a 3-hour drive. Mexico City is sunny and warm and rains a bit on the afternoon during summer (June-Sept); otherwise, has a great weather during all year. Even in winter the average temperature is 15o centigrades
