“Located in the village of El Sergento in the kite-surfing world capitol by the Sea of Cortez, William's home is spacious and unimaginably welcoming. The fanciful Santorini-inspired architecture - cupolas on white-washed structures - really takes one away. I shifted to vacation-mode as soon as we arrived. The swap included two structures: a principal residence with master, kitchen, indoor and outdoor showers, bath and powder room, open-plan kitchen/dining/living room and outdoor lounging and dining. The casita has a master and a bath. Baja can get pretty toasty in the summer; William's air mini-split conditioning was up to the task. Toni, the property manager, was on-site and very helpful. He arranged the Covid-19 test required for re-entry to the US so we did not have to leave the property. The property has a stunning beach with free stand-up paddleboards. The beach goes on for miles. In the season (October - April) the bay is dotted with kite surfers. In the summer, there is only the occasional fisherman. There is daily housekeeping service. Infrastructure is solid, with good plumbing, electrical, and Wi-Fi: sufficient for glitch-free streaming. William is an excellent communicator, quickly responding to questions and offering good guidance about the area. This property is the embodiment of the luxury accommodation in a sleepy fishing village trope in a setting of stunning natural beauty. It is a sanctuary, where the desert meets the sea. I miss it already...!”
