The Neighborhood -
The building is a newly constructed building - only 10% occupied. There are a variety of little grocery shops and small restaurants nearby. Costco is a 5-minute drive as well as a large mall with at least a hundred stores, PF Changs, Outback, etc. The building is on Calzada Central street in the neighborhood of Ciudad Granja, Zapopan - which is in the metropolitan zone of Guadalajara. The area is upper middle class, low key, and safe. The building has a doorman and elevator/doors are access-controlled with a key fob. The building has underground parking.
The Apartment -
The unit is a penthouse located on the top floor of the building and is two levels. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen with a fridge, gas range, microwave, and air fryer convection oven. There is also a blender, food processor, rice cooker, crock pot, omega juice machine, le creuset pot as well as a variety of cooking utensils. The dining area has a large marble table with seating for 6. There is a sectional sofa and a few rocking chairs. There is an 80inch TV with AppleTV and a Playstation 2 in living room. Adjacent to the living room is a guest bedroom with a king size bed and marble computer desk. The bathroom has a walk-in closet and a glass shower with rainforest-horizontal jets/bidet function. There is an operable window that allows you to get fresh air. There are rolling sun shades that can protect against heat during day but in evening you can roll up to see skyline in distance. By the stairs leading up to the second level there is a powder room with toilet and sink. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer. There is a floating staircase made from cantilvered wood with glass railings that leads you up to the top level. At the top of the stairs is a small reading nook which leads out to the master bedroom as well as a sliding patio door to the terrace. The master bedroom has a king size bed, marble computer desk with rolling chair, and built in closets/drawers as well as a large TV with AppleTV. The master bathroom has a marble top vanity and glass walk-in shower with rainforest-horizontal jets/bidet function. You can see for around 20-30 miles from the floor to ceiling windows in the master bathroom and bedroom. The master bedroom also has a hot/cold water cooler appliance to give you fresh bottled water and a HEPA filter. The roof terrace is approximately 300 sq ft, and is open to the sky. On one end there are a variety of lush flowering vines and plants which need to be watered every day or every other day. If you opt-in for the housekeeping service the maid will water the plants. On the other end of the roof terrace there is a custom made outdoor kitchen with stone slab top, sink with hot/cold water, a mini fridge, and a weber gas grill. There are a few chairs and a coffee table. The highlight of the roof terrace is a one-person Japanese style soaking tub made from hammered copper. Since the copper gets very hot if you fill up the tub the water will stay at around the same temperature for 2-3 hours.
I highly recommend to have the housekeeping service come in. The maid and her daughter are relatives of my in-laws and are very trustworthy and friendly. They will also do you laundry for you and fold, put your clothes in the drawers daily if needed. During each cleaning they will also do bedding and towels. There is a safe in the master bedroom should you have any doubts. The housekeeping service is $75USD/week and includes daily visits in the morning between 10am-12pm. They are very friendly and you do not need to leave the house while they are cleaning.
