About our home

House La Hacienda on the main floor has the living-dining room, kitchen and laundry room; on the second floor are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Main house has 2 studio-apts in the back yard, each with double bed and fully staffed. House La Hacienda has an excellent central location, just 8 minutes walk from heart center.

The Ex Hacienda is surrounded by wide high original walls dating from the 17th century; centrally located, but at the same time inside a fortress.

In our street Alhondiga you'll find everything! Hotel Zone, several fruit shops, two supermarket about 2 blocks away Comercial Mexicana and Soriana, three OXXO shops and one EXTRA, several grocery stores and one Coopel department store. There are also hair saloon, all kinds of transportation, just take the public bus called "Presa - San Javier", and you will have a tour of the entire city.

To reach center just walk down through "Positos" or "Juarez" street. Positos is the street of museums and galleries, and Juarez is the street of banks, Mercado Hidalgo, money exchange, more restaurants and plazuelas, both take you to Plaza de La Paz and Jardin Union where you will find more restaurants and bars, Teatro Juarez, beautiful architecture, live music, attractions, gift shops, and much more.

Take an evening stroll on the Centro Historico (long boardwalk along calle Juarez, downtown) and check out endless shops, Mercado, restaurants and plazuelas. Buses run frequently (every 3 minutes) to downtown and cost about 5 pesos and taxis cost about 40 pesos.

More about us

  1. I live in an amazing city with small but great family; we live surrounded by family and them houses, all together have our own gated community; we are very laid back, and love the community aspect of our lives and rental business; love our neighborhood and happy to share it. I am lucky to live in a 3 bedroom house in one of the most convenient neighborhoods in Guanajuato. Early 50's, easy going, free spirit and very friendly person, no drama queen. I'm lived in Guanajuato for more than 20 years, and can't seem to leave!!! Our hope is that many others can enjoy what Guanajuato Capital has to offer, through staying at our property for a wonderfully relaxing time.

  2. My home is my sanctuary and when travel enjoys staying in an equally comfortable environment; now we want to share it with you! Love to travel and meeting new people; enjoys the both the excitement of the city and the beauty of the outdoors in the country. Favorite way to travel is light, favorite place are Mexican beaches. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I try to make it feel that way for others. Not pretentious or stuffy, just comfortable and welcoming - so if you're planning a trip to Guanajuato and need a place to stay that will feel like a home away from home, shoot me an e-mail.

  3. I normally travel in winters, but If you are not ready for simultaneous exchanges during Dec-Jan (any year), we can work something out for one week in summer. Pacific Ocean: Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacan, Guerrero, Oaxaca. Caribbean: Quintana Roo, Yucatan. I like places with terrace, sea view, two or three bedrooms, the pool can be shared. Destinations that offer a beach front or close. I like long walks on the beach so having a beach which is long would be a bonus, close to town for shopping and restaurants.
