About our home

New luxury 3/BR,3/Bth 2 story view home. 500 meters from beach, 360 degree views of Sea of Cortez, Sierra de Los Lagunas. Wind surfing from November to May. Sport fishing in Sea of Cortez year round, peaks in June, July, August. All tourist activity in Cabo San Lucas 1&1/2 hour south. Baja Sur has little known primitive rock/cave art comparable to Spain and france. Snorkle/scuba diving, whale watching. One hour drive to Cabo Pulmo Marine Preserve. Horse-back or quad camping, exploring in Sierras; waterfalls, hot springs, remote ranchos. Just relax in the sun in a tranquil country setting, beach-comb and re-charge your batteries!

Our home is located in a somewhat rural "Gringo" neighborhood on large lots that provide privacy but not isolation. It is quiet and peaceful with dark star filled nights. We have enclosed yards due to the numerous range cattle, goats, horses and burros. Los Barriles is a short 5 minute drive over typical Mexican dirt roads. Mx hwy 1 is a good macadam road that covers all of the Baja peninsula from Lands End to the US border and located in the village where all services, restaurants etc are available. Travel by car is easy and the larger area is serviced by regular, quality bus service. Baja has a tropical desert climate. Most rain and occasional hurricanes come in July, August and September. A sweater may be required in Winter. The rest of the year, light shirts and shorts.

We are a retired couple living most of the year here in Baja, Mx. We spend 3-4 of the summer months in the cooler US. We are language impared only speaking English.
