My daughter Carla and myself like to spend a month yearly in Amsterdam to meet my other daughter named Olinda after me, who has a baby boy. We are interested in finding a place to stay in Amsterdam sometime during the summer and or at Christmas 2010. We can recieve you in Mexico at any time except during August 2010. At other moments in the year or at any time next year you are very welcome through the home exchange deal. -We all have had 9 years of great experiences lodging people (friends of friends) for free from Europe, USA, South America and Mexico. My daughter, is married to a Dutch man and lives in Amsterdam. She will be happy to meet you in the Netherlands to make a personal contact with you if it can help you evaluate our lifestyle.

Where is it?

The old colonial beautiful San Angel area is renouned in all turist guides. Colonial constructions, colonial churches and museums conform the area. The studios of Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera are an example. There is also the famous Bazar del Sábado, an unforgettable artistic traditional market that takes place on saturdays at the central plaza of San Angel. The walk to all these places is beautiful. There is a tourist information center 5 walking minutes away from the house. Mexico city has spring weather all year round. Museums, transportation and food are extremely cheap if compared to Amsterdam's prices. Euros are worth a lot in Mexico. You will pay for a taxi what you pay for the tram. And if you use public transportation you will not spend more than 2 euros per day. This is a great city where there is everything to do. Every Sunday main tourist streets downtown are closed to car traffic in order to provide safety for biking tours. You will really love them! You can explore this web page to find your own interests. It can be read in English and French: You can also take the city as a base to travel around to the many charming little towns or cities arround it (for example Tepoztlán, Taxco, Puebla), or further! The country is very big and diverse and you'll never finish seeing all the nature and cultural riches it has.
